Hmmmm...out of all these bands I by far own the most Journey vinyls...but Foreigner is more "real". Definitely not Styx but that is personal preference and a result of the choices of the polls, not anything against Styx.

Journey seems to have the most staying power for me. For whatever reason, I always turn off Foreigner when they come on (used to love 'em, not so much now). Also, whar .38 Special?

At the Iowa State Fair Free Stages. Not even close to the other bands levels in terms of reach and star power.

A Journey reunion tour with Steve Perry would probably be the only thing that could rival a Pink Floyd reunion in terms of dollars and tickets and hype.

"Mayor Adam West: Oh, God. I love this song. And I love it when amateurs sing the lyrics. But I hate baseball cards." But I chose STYX

I suppose you are right. They were only competitive with those others for a couple of albums. But, oh, that hair.

I am not a huge Rush fan, but they have more musical talent than all the other bands combined.

Even after Ricky kidnapped the guitarist.

Tommy Shaw of Styx was the difference back in the day (Saw Styx at the Vet in D.M.)

He is an awesome guitarist.

Steve Perry, albeit cheesy, had the best American pop/rock voice the last 30 yrs.

Freddy Mercury would be the UK's best the last 40 yrs

Been to all in the college and high school days, best years for these bands. Very tough choice, probably pick Foreigner, as Journey a little girly, and Styx I don't know why.

They've all had so much turnover through the years you can't really tell what or who you're voting for vs the other.

If you are talking original bands then Foreigner. Lou Gramm was one of the great voices of rock and roll. I've seen Styx over a dozen times and their original lineup was very talented and they put on the best show of these three. Journey was ok with Steve Perry fronting them, but it always seems super guitartist Neal Schon's ego got in the way.

Rush's don't do stuff like that. They got these lyrics about... how trees are talking to each other, and how different sides of your brain works, and outer space ********.

Not a huge fan of any of them but Journey seems least offensive to me.

Foreigner gets the automatic down vote for the super annoying song, Urgent, whose only lyrics seemed to be, "Urgent, Urgent, Urgent, Emergency." repeated over and over.

Styx was okay at the beginning - but about the time they got to Mr. Roboto it was pretty lame. I always said they left the "n" out of their name.

Styx, easy for me.

In my opinion, Come Sail Away is also the best single song out of any of these bands as well. Obviously, it's all based on opinion, but I would go:

1. Styx

2. Foreigner

3. Journey
