I made the huge mistake of turning it on for a bit yesterday, only to hear the fool replacement try to talk about ISU basketball while continually saying he admittedly knows nothing about ISU basketball or the players they have/recruits coming in.

Then, he takes a call from Tommy the ****, lets the guy mushmouth on the air for at least 5+ minutes about how Johnston has a chance to knock off Ames High today because of how good their coach is. That radio station is just one big embarrasment to the entire state of Iowa.

Considering their signal strength doesn't even reach Ames, I doubt it. What they need is some local competetion.

This is because his show depends a lot on what Iowa and ISU are doing. Aside from spring football, Jon doesn't really have a whole lot of materiel to work with until Media Day.

For your sake, I sure hope Mr. Miller never makes a sudden stop while walking.......

I like the Jon Miller show during football and most of basketball. but the spring they might as well switch the show over to The Bus, because it turns into not much more than a show about music.

More like Aug-Dec (creeping into Jan on a good year) and a day or two for signing day.

Fortunately iowa has enough "off season activity" to keep the media outlets happy. So perhaps you're right - all together it may be 7 months.

Overall, I don't mind Jon's show. Best of the 3. All of them can't talk about the same hot-button topics for 7 hours. I think Jon does alright with the off topics. It at least keeps my interest unlike hearing about the RedSox or Patriots ad-nauseum.

They only ignore Iowa's off the field stuff. I believe that Jon "doesn't want to spread rumors". If it's an ISU player then Marty is all the source they need.

Off Topic but the two idiots who did Boys State Basketball announcing this weekend were just freaking terrible too. Mark Allen needs to go away and never return.
