I hope the fans can now do their part and hopefully we can get attendance to around 5000/game consistently to help offset the cost for a non-revenue sport.

I'm expecting a moderate increase in the price of my season tickets.... and will gladly pay it given the results thusfar.

Not to mention - they're cheap as hell anyway. I wish more ISU fans would get behind a winner for only $50 (or whatever they might be this fall). Buy one, and get to a few matches. (Edit: Check that, they were $25 each, got two at $50. How can you beat that for 12-14 matches)

If you can't make it, they have a program setup with the Boys and Girls Club to donate your tickets to. Great way to help some kids out, maybe get a few new young Clone fans started early, and show JP that we will support success.

Not that I want to encourage anyone to NOT get BBall tix, but some seem to have already made up their minds to not renew. If you've made such a decision, please keep at least some of that money going to ISU in a positive way.

Good post. Don't forget that volleyball is a very fan friendly spectator sport!

Why yes... yes it is. :biglaugh:

Seriously, we got a great thing going with the Twister Sisters and those games are entertaining to watch. So are theses. I'm a volleyball junkie - so my perspective is a bit biased, but I can honestly say that women's volleyball is one of the few sports I enjoy watching more than men's. And for more than the obvious reasons.

These girls are damn good and it's a very entertaining sport to watch. No lulls. Probably more emotion than most other sports. And when the crowd is there for a big match (see Texas last fall), the fans DO have an impact and it's really Hilton Magic like any basketball game. I don't care what that jack*** of a Texas coach might say, they were rattled in Hilton.

Congrats JP on keeping the volleyball coach! Now lets work on the sports that actually bring us money recognition.

CJL: We are being treated very well here.

Luckily, she reminded me of alumni scrimmage this Thursday. Then I remembered I work for one of the few places, I believe, that has Good Friday as a paid holiday:yes:

May have to make another trip down this week.
