Me too on all 3 of those.why such a lack of love for Sweet Caroline? Maybe I'm alone but I love when they play that!
Also love cowbell and cyclone aerobics or whatever they're called.

I like it as a 4th down song when the opposition is punting...I like the thinking :yes:What's th group think about "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald?" No?
OK, The guy who runs the big music box at Jack Trice, here is what you are going to do:
--No warm-up thug rap please. You can play some 1980's fat boys or maybe even some MC Hammer too legit to quit. Just kidding, but to play the absolute CRAP that they play pre-game has gotten offensive to me. The story I hear is they just carte blanche broadcast the player's request "becuase it gets them pumped up" or whatever. Put something on the air that is mildly, tangibly popular.
--Smoke on the Water is cool for the beginning of intro, but it has not crescendo, no climax. I keep waiting for more. It is 2011, and I know we have had the technology to mix music since, oh, 1915 or so. Please mix Smoke into something a little more rousing, please.
--Sweet Caroline will continue to be banned until 10 minutes after the victory.
--It would be good to hear some more original scores.....I hear the same "Ohhhhhh, oh-oh-oh-oh, ohhhhhhh" bass riff at about three different games this year (different schools) AND on television games too(anyone know this riff? It is annoyingly catchy). These schools all copy each other, and ISU seems hell bent on being a copy cat instead of an orignator.
I suggest "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People for end of third quarter this game....that song is freaking infectious...I can't get it out of my head.
--No more "Cyclone, First down!!!!" thing. DUMB!!!!!!!!
--More cow bell.
Here's deep thought, its warm up music....FOR THE PLAYERS....not the spectators, let it sink in.... In this thread i guess people tend to forget their role in all of this...100 percent agree! Besides . . it is gibberish. Also TOO FRICKING LOUD! Pollard needs to hear complaints like this.

This would make for a great intro. Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down - YouTube
I like it... it really has a marching feel, so it would be cool for a walk-in song, but it also doesnt really have a high climax or anything so ehhh, idk
If we're talking Johnny Cash and walk in music....how about his version of "Hurt" for the visitors "I hurt myself today" and "I will let you down, in the end" sound like the appropriate mood setters for the visitors.
I'm not sure if a song written about heroin addiction would be appropriate for football entrance, but to each their own I guess...
Right on, but a big entry to Puff the Magic Dragon would be super cool.
And then some Peaceful, Easy Feelin' to get everybody really jacked up before kick-off.
Then Oops! I Did It Again when we miss the field goal.
Bring your own iPod... errr Walkman... if you don't want to hear the rap before the game.
