Looking for a warm place to go sometime this winter. Anyone have a great place they have stayed in Jamaica?

Re: Jamaca question

You have come to the right place.

Go to Negril and not Ocho Rios. PM me for specifics, we have been to a few places there.

Re: Jamaca question

I don't think anyone on this board has been to Jamaica, you're out of luck.

Good smallmouth fishing in Guthrie County. I spend enough time there in the summer. :)

Re: Jamaca question

Jamaica is really sweet but there is a world of difference between the brutally poor areas and the nice tourist areas. Stay at as nice a resort as you can afford. Plus, don't stray too far from the resort, (or resort organized activities) and DO NOT drive. Totally nuts on the roads. A third world country in many ways. The Sandals places are very nice, but they are couples only but also all-inclusive so the booze is free. No kids is maybe the best part, for my money. Overall, though, Jamaica is very nice, super beaches.

By the way, just discovered this site and I'm pretty jazzed about it. Been 86ed by Clark for years from CR..lol GO CYCLONES!!!

MAKE sure that your taxi driver either has a red license plate or one with red letters. Or he isn't registered...

Re: Jamaca question

Kuyaba is pretty great for a small place right off 7 mile, but not as expensive as the resorts. There is a grocery store near by too.
