Its a holliday, why do I have to work

Wandering around the office today I could not help but noticing that everyone of importance (4 of 5 executives) took the day off. It is 60 degrees outside and sunny. I would much rather be doing almost anything than work.

So in protest, what are you doing today instead of working like you are supposed to.

I must say, this game is appealing. I do like monkeys throwing darts.

I don't mind having Martin Luther King day. However the fact that the Government shuts down, Banks Close and all that other nonsense is rediculous.

I don't mind getting paid the double time and a half today though.

Yeah... I had to work too... but since my company calls it a holiday hello regular pay + holiday pay!

On top of that... it was an easy day!

Perhaps the first step towards becoming one of "those people' would be to learn how to spell holiday.

I just wish that they chose the holiday based on something MLK did in say...April thru Sept. Holiday in DSM in the middle of January doesn't make it very nice. Also, if towns wanted to have parades it would be better in a different time of year.
