The Knapp Center only holds 7,000, but I would still expect it to be more full for a game that could give the team a share of the conference lead.

The tickets are $12 for adults at both events....so it's not due to the higher price.

What is going on with the fans? They have a very good team and are coming off a really good year.

ISU is that team. I know what you mean, but the women have a chance, unlikely, but a chance at the Big12 title. They sure did start off well last week.

brought my family to the game with OSU....what a blast. Clone cones, popcorn, soda, questionable ref calls, physical game, all-american point guard for the Cowgirls. Victory for the ISU women.

just awesome.

If ISU isn't careful the ISU women will be outdrawing the ISU men before long.

I would bet that only 1/3 to 1/2 of the ISU men's attendance has actually been met. I mean that they are probably showing the number of sold tickets vs. actual hiney's in the seats.

If I am not mistaken, I think all attendance, both men and women, is reported as tickets sold.

That is the standard.

Just think, if we had the UofI ticket department, we might be able to call these sellouts!

If I remember correctly, the ISU women averaged more attendance than the Iowa men last year. In fact, they averaged more attendance than everybody in that state, except the ISU men.

If our men can come out strong this week opening conference play and avoid any more "SDSU moments" I'd say we have a legitimate chance of ISU men's and women's going #1, #2 for basketball attendance in the state this season. I don't plan to miss another men's game, and I definitely plan to catch a few more women's games before it's all said and done.

Cotler was complaining about Drake's attendance a few mornings ago on KXNO. The weather is horrible, the economy's down, and I think a few of those early season loses took out some momentum. They've already lost 4 games, and didn't lose their 2nd til February 13th last year. If they keep winning they'll be fine, but his Drake homer whining is really getting old.

I'd rather watch the Cyclone women than just about every other basketball team in the state, men or women. Hard to say over Cyclone men, but they ARE better in their respective league lately.
