What is your first half and final score predictions for Saturday?

I will say 17-10 UNLV at half.

ISU wins 24-20.

ISU 14 -7 at the half

ISU 27 UNLV 20

ISU gets either a special teams or defensive TD. Mahoney hits a FG late in the 4th quarter to seal the deal while UNLV gets a late TD.

24-16 ISU. They drive on us all day but come away w/ 3 FG's and a TD to show for it. We get a big play on special teams and AA throws for 250+

The rest of the games this year are all tossups (with the probable exception of Mizzou) as far as I'm concerned. Very difficult to make a guess.

What I don't think will happen:

UNLV wins by 14+ pts

What could happen:

Close victory for ISU
Close victory for UNLV
ISU wins by 14+ pts

Arnaud does fine in this game, but Bates dominates. Barring critical turnovers and poor special teams play, I see ISU pulling away to a relatively easy victory.

Defense will take a big step up this weekend - in addition to being effective against the passing game, our run defense and pass rush will be improved enough to put UNLV in long yardage situations where the pass defense can shut them down.

Lots of big plays this game. ISU 38 UNLV 20.

I'm the opposite. I think it's far more likely we lose by double digits on the road than win by double digits on the road.

Halftime: tie 14-14
Final: ISU 31-28

I've got ISU getting 42
UNLV 17

And I'm sick of no power, long gas lines, long lines at the store - so I'm gonna fly out and see it in person!!

How can anyone predict us to score 30 points or more after last week? If we score that many points it will have to include Special Teams and Defensive scores b/c our offense has not shown the ability

On that fast track, ISU will break out the offensive playbook it had planned to break out last week. IMO.

We also scored 44 and 48 in our first two games. UNLV's defense is not Iowa's. I think we'll score some points.

My gut told me we would lose the Iowa game. It is telling me we will find a way to win this one.

Hope it is right. Don't need two crappy weeks in a row.

I'm pretty worried about this game. Maybe I'm looking into things a little too much but the time difference and the heat are two things that you cant prapare for. The forecast is calling for 95 degrees. Our players havent even practiced in that kind of heat this year. I think playing at a totally different time messes up a player also. I'm still calling for a victory...ISU 28-21.

Yeah but that was against SDSU and Kent St. We needed 5 INT's and a defensive TD to get 40 against them. That wasn't our offense.

Same thing for Kent St and the blocked punts. We will need Special Teams and a defensive score to get around the 40 point mark that a lot of people here seem to be predicting

Well, sure. We have 12 takeaways in three games, so our defense must continue to get us the ball. Outside of Schmidgall's INT return against the Rabbits, all our turnovers have set the offense up for points. UNLV has had zero giveaways thus far, so something must give.

I don't think we'll get to 40 points (although we haven't won on the road since we roasted A&M with 42), but I think we can certainly reach the 30s. Hopefully that is enough.
