I completely agree with this. Squeeze as many people in there as possible. And having more bleachers on the field would be such a great atmosphere. We'd be right on top of TT. Let's break another record

Almost unbelievable to me that FCS is still an option for a Big 12 game in this day and age.

It's ridiculous. I can't say I'm an expert on all the TV contract negotiations, but I do know somebody said a while back that FCS was going to be phased out as a TV option, or at least used only rarely. But, here we are, stuck on backwater cable again.

There's only four games involving Big 12 teams on the 29th, and one of those is a non-conference game (TCU-SMU). Otherwise it's us, Baylor-West Virginia, and Texas-Okie State. You're seriously telling us, Fox and Big 12, that with the available time slot choices (two different afternoon kickoff times and an evening kickoff option) and channel availability (ESPN, Fox, FX, FSN) ... this is the best you could come up with?

Particularly for those of us stuck in the eastern Iowa Big Ten footprint, FCS might as well be public access cable channel 10 in Aurora, Illinois, for all the chances we get to try and see it.

(I say that as an ImOn customer. You folks upthread are saying Mediacom has FCS. They didn't have that back when I was a Mediacom customer, but if that's true, at least I have a possible option to watch the game in CR. Still ticked, though ... seems like a pretty crappy option when there's only four Big 12 games being played.)

Pretty sure FCS is included in the new contract as well.

Confirmed:
Have your remote ready. Big 12 games will be broadcast on several networks: ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN3.com, Fox, FX, Fox College Sports and Fox Sports Digital. Fox is becoming a bigger player in college football with agreements with the Pac-12 and Big 12 and will give the leagues national exposure on Saturdays.

I like the night game kickoff! Don't care about the TV because I will be there losing my voice again! I also like the 6pm kickoff more because it isn't such a late start going out after the game as well.

See...I'm at a point where I'm actually glad I get to see the game. Having Comcast in DC...if this game is on FSN it is a total tossup as to if I will be able to see it due to CSN and now the fact that they dropped FSN programming. But...FCS isn't regional so it is on there no matter what.

I thought this week-to-week guessing game was going to be a thing of the past with the new TV contract. What I didn't foresee is all of the turmoil with the individual cable providers and they channels they either will or will not show.

I know you have to have the Sports Pack with Directv in order to get FCS. Does anyone know, can you have them add the sports pack for only 1 month?

Yes, you can add the sports pack for a month and then cancel. I believe they now charge a $10 penalty if you cancel prior to 30 days, but you should be fine as long as you call in 30 days later and cancel.

I don't know if the tentative fox college football schedule release will hold true or not but there was only one game tentatively set for FCS for the entire big 12 for the entire season.
