Oh come on man! Read what your lovely said...

..instead of using up a whole day for tailgating and football.

Those are fighting words. Why don't you just spit on the crucifix and burn an American flag while you're at it......

I don't mind the early games much either besides the whole getting up early thing. It seems like you have more time after the game instead of using up a whole day for tailgating and football.

Are you calling what we did on Saturday "football"? Because I'm not and it certainly wasn't a good use of 3 hours of my Saturday. I can handle losing, I can't handle quitting long before the game is over. I'm very frustrated about that.

I was speaking to the insinuation that tailgating was somehow not worthy of our Saturdays.

And that there was something better to do than football and tailgating on Saturdays.

I'd watch it man - sounds like there's a "Honey-do" list in your future and she's not willing to wait for the next away game...

It is pretty bad when the griddles are better than the product on the field.

We are kickoff challenged, kickoff coverage challenged, punt return challenged, pass coverage challenged, spirit challenged, rushiung challenged, you name it. So many areas to improve and so little time to do it.

Bring out the off topics.

It was this guy:

I had the brief displeasure of talking to this "fan" at the Big 12 BB tourney. He is the self proclaimed "Sooner Man" we wears a silver fox tail and passes out buttons of himself. The person with him is "Boomer Boy" I had all kind of thoughts running through my head.

He told me that we were not going to beat OU womens team. Kinda yelled it in my face. I am so glad I live north of the Mason Dixon Line!!

I think we are just challenged in general....:wideeyed:

Daddymac - I was just meaning that it's nice when you have family/friends coming in from out of town like we did last week and will be this weekend coming up. It's nice to have an evening free.

What Game. I left to start the 3rd qarter and was home in Urbandale to watch the end of it on TV. Pathetic! Just plain Pathetic!

I am trying to get myself excited about 3 more games. After watching the Coaches show last night it looked like Gene was in the corner taking the standing 10 count!

I like the nite games better myself ... more time to drink before the game ...more time to grill steaks before the game.

Nite games work better if we're blown out ...I can come home and crash and forget about another embarrassing LOSS

Oh, I knnnoooowwww what you mean. (insert condescending, sarcastic voice)

Listen sister - if your family and friends are too good, to get up at 5:30, drive 30 minutes in the dark, sit in the car for another 30 minutes to wait for some idiot who got up late and get his less than easy tent up and standing, then stand out in the drizzle for 3 hours while some other putz can't get a simple griddle running off a 12 volt car battery, then enjoy 3 1/2 hours of the best football in 9 blocks (Ames high is still up off of 13th street, right).....

Well then... I guess they're just not friends or family worth having - are they?:eek:

I will get up early and tailgate and go to the game. I will complain about getting up early and not enough time for tailgating, but so be it. I'll still have fun.

But what sucks besides not as much time tailgating for myself, is the bigger factor, which is some people don't have the willpower to get up early and there will be less people tailgating (a few of my friends). Less tailgaters = less fun.

Apparently FSN is a glutton for punishment. They obivously care nothing about ratings.

I would think Figure Skating or Women's Field Hockey would do a better number than the second half of this game.

Well - they were already in town, the cameras are in place and gas is expensive.....

The funny thing is that if this was KU @ Baylor the t.v. crews would be nowhere in sight. All about the south getting any possible exposure they can get, like usual.

edit: Pardon me, it looks like KU-Baylor was on the magnificent FCS network last week.
