Honestly it’s petty but his voice and mannerisms are probably the reason I just can’t stand the guy.

If by mannerisms you mean spending more time on the court than his players then I agree. He's like a hyperactive dad coaching his sons 5th grade team.

I get that coaches yell instruction during games but I can't think of another one where it's as constant as him...non freaking stop on both sides of the floor. It's just annoying as hell.

Yeah, I can't think of another coach I've ever seen that micromanages his team during live action like that...to that extreme.

As fans of another school who regularly visit here, only surly and our friend from Toledo come to mind as being worth having around. All the random rest of them can pound sand.

randomfan44/tuco isn't that bad, as far as fKU fans go. this year he's had to take his medicine plenty of times. gonzo and dexterhawk aren't terrible either, especially if it doesn't relate directly to EIU.

K-State is a very good team. Defense will take them a long ways. But I hate seeing things written that if we didn't shoot out of our butts yesterday, we couldn't have won. That is plain false. We lost the first game in Ames by 1 when Barry Brown was being, well Barry Brown at the end of the shot clock. We shot under 40% on 3s in that game and still would have one if we hadn't shot only 50% on FTs, with several of those being the front end of one and one's and several were in crunch time.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I really don't give a **** about the Lard technical. If there ever was a time and situation to do it, up 14 with little time left was it. I think I saw McGurl earlier in the game running his mouth.
I’m surprised he hasn’t gotten a T for slapping the backboard in dunks.

It takes a lot toughness to win on the road as well as we have, but it's easy to question our toughness when we get thumped at home by a double digit underdog.

Hope we can remain tough the rest of the way.

I don't mind it either. I also don't blame Higgins for calling it. Physical chippy game. The call wasn't going to effect the outcome and if it helps keep things under control at the end I'm ok with it.

This is spot on.

Def won in Manhattan - by limiting KSU and by setting up a lot of transition points for us. Just so happened a fair number of transitions were 3s. I didn't see points in the paint, thinking we probably won that as well?

For some reason, Lard reminds me of Dennis Rodman. He’s good , but there’s drama. He had a block and stood there congratulating himself for 5 seconds while the other 9 players moved to the opposite end of the court. The Technical was another case of Gloating Gone Wild.

No, I think it is more Manute Bol'ish....but then maybe that is because of the "Shhhh" finger...and no, it looked nothing like Woodbury telling his own crowd to shut up about not being able to dunk!

Yeah, when you get most of the calls at home and loose by 14 it is pretty hard to say the other team got lucky. Throwing in a half court desperation 3 pointer .4 seconds before the half is lucky.
It was even closer than that. When the clock was at .1 it wasn't clear if it was in his hand or barely out. It was clearly out when it hit 0.

KSU had won 9 in a row - sometimes a team just gets into a groove and rattles off a bunch of Ws that exceeds their expected capabilities. I wonder if KSU will come back to earth a bit now that their run got busted. They could drop out of the race if they don't keep their heads straight.

*yes, I know this is probably being optimistic.
"Nine in a row" is the popular thing for everyone to say, but don't forget that there was the eATMe stinker right in the middle of those 9 conference wins.

I wouldn't count on this breaking KSU.
