The stat that amused me:
Horton-Tucker (Fr, 6-4, 238) vs Wade (Sr, 6-8, 228)

THT is four years younger and four inches shorter (but outweighs him by 10#), and basically shut down Wade's usual production. Wade had 9 pts, 5 boards, 3 assists & 1 turnover in 30 minutes. He's usually well into the double digits in points.

Did anybody else notice that THT didn't use his mouth-guard today? Usually, it is hanging out of his mouth whenever the play stopped. Not today. Coincidence?

I agree that it could have been called, but it could have not been called too. The official determined that Lard was yelling in the KSU guys face, but it looked to me like he was just yelling because he got a dunk. I have certainly seen a lot of other players get away with stuff like that without a T. Lard does need to learn to keep his focus on the game at hand
Looked like Higgens was warning THT that he was close to a T after one of his 3s.

Great win. Very few Iowa State teams have gone on the road and beat the conference leader like that.

I don’t think we necessarily need to shoot well to win, but if we make 14 3Ps while shooting nearly 60%, we can beat all but a handful of teams.

Makes TCU and KSU losses at home very painful, but there’s still 6 games left.

The difference between page one and page two of the thread below is pretty funny...
https://goemaw.com/forum/index.php?topic=41316.50
1. 2.5 pages for a game?
2. How many of their "fans" admit to not knowing any of our players?
3. The above two points explains why they boo everything, they have never watched a basketball game outside of a few of their games.

I've been to the Octagon twice, and Snyder Family stadium twice. worst road trips I've been on.

As uncle Randy pointed out, when the ISU A-team show up, they can beat anyone in the Big12. We just have to keep the B-team off the court for the rest of the season.

The team we saw today could make a nice run in the tourney.

They obviously flushed the TCU game or it pissed them off and provided motivation.

Congrats Clones!

And if we don't lose to TCU and KSU we might not beat TT and KSU. Who knows. I know what you mean but we are in the hunt with 6 games with a team that was missing 4 key players during pre-conf and picked sixth in the league. Just be happy we are in the conversation and can still accomplish big things.

That is a disappointing meltdown thread. Actually, that wasn't even a post-game thread. It included their pregame comments.

They need to take some lessons from ours last Saturday after TCU!

Here was my favorite line [posted early in the game]: "I hope he [THT] keeps shooting those." You asked for it, you got it!

ISU shot well and were fortunate that Wade got hurt, but still like the toughness that Prohm was looking for down the stretch. Hard to win on the road, especially when the officials are determined the help the home team. ISU finally got a couple call at the end of the game, although I thought the T on Lard was total BS.

Totally agree with you about Lard's T.

"Hollywood" Higgins has a reputation as one of the best in the business, and while I would much rather have him then Eades, it's that kind of BS call that keeps me from having the same level of respect for him that others have.

K-State still has to play @KUm who like us has four losses. Looks like 4-losses minimum can win B12.

It will be tough for us to hold our 4-loss record, but i like our chances:
BAY
@TCU
OU
@UT
@WVA
TT
