I thought Drake was going to be close. Hec, I thought Northern Arizona was going to be close. I'm giving up on my conservative predictions.

I think we run Creighton out of the gym. 82 - 52. ISU rolls in the second half.

if creighton only beats lousiana 63-58 i dont see how this is close. i think they upperclassmen have too much pride to be shown up by there old coach. we win by at least 25

If you listened to KXNO I believe it was Matt that stated Guys go to Iowa State to play basketball Guys go to Creighton to get an education. So therefore Creighton should have no transfer issues.

Yes, just like P'Allen Stinnett. Oh wait, he barely went to class before getting booted for smoking more weed than Cheech Marin. Clearly he valued the education he was going to receive at CU.

No sarcasm pirate needed.

I think we all need to temper our expectations a little here. Yes, we've dominated three straight inferior opponents, and I understand that Creighton has looked a little mediocre in each of their wins, but if you think that Creighton is just going to role over like Drake, you've got another thing coming.

McD will do everything he can to slow the pace of this game and make it a knock down, drag out affair. Factor that with we're finally facing a legit big man in Kenny Lawson (Van Deest was not legit), and I think this game is going to be much closer. I still think ISU's guards are too much for Creighton to handle, but this game will be closer throughout, and ISU will only pull away on free throws and a couple easy fast break buckets in the last five minutes.

Also, don't underestimate that this is the first game we're playing away from home. Granted, it's in Des Moines and the crowd is still going to be 90% Cyclone, but it's still a different routine.

ISU 73 - Creighton 61

In Creighton's 1st 3 games they scored 63 once and above 70 twice. With our pace, they will likely get more shot attempts even if we play better defense.

After Wednesday in Ames, I have no clue.

Seriously.

I showed up to watch a struggling ISU team take on a tough defense Drake team and ISU exploded and destroyed Drake.

I have no clue either.

I think we will either struggle shooting outside of hilton, get wrapped up in the emotion of playing an old coach, and end up in an ugly defensive battle and win a close one 57-55.

Or we run them out of the gym, keep having fun, and win 76-59.

Either way, I don't see how Creighton scores 60 against us.

2 of those opponents have been northern arizona and lousiana...they never should have been behind at half to start with. that proves more that they got lucky in the 2nd half and finally showed up

Not sure...But I think all of Crieghton's opponents so far have been ahead at the half and CU went on to win.

I think the idea is that our halftime leads often seemed to indicate that we were only going to play one half that night, and that we would forget to come out of the locker room with the intensity that got us the lead.

When those things went together, that second half wouldn't go well, at least against a team that mattered, or several that didn't.

I still just don't totally trust this team yet. I honestly don't know. I think there will be a lot of emotion from the guys who played for Mac and that might affect their play a little bit. Win this one convincingly and I'll really start coming around on this team.

Thankfully we don't have many of those

Easy Win for ISU, Unless:
1. ISU has a terrible shooting night
or
2. Creighton somehow manages to keep the deficit under 20 and one of their sharp shooters has an unbelievable finish (this is a trademark of GMac's UNI teams)

Don't kid yourself, those too were Ben Jacobsen coached UNI teams.
