I can't handle the excitement of seeing this:

Cyclones projected in the CFP and hosting a game at that against Oregon!? Yes, please. I know, it's way too early and I wouldn't bet a dime on us making the playoffs, but this is fun to see....
Fun to see 4 teams in the projection... probably more for clicks than anything.
I do have an issue with all the negative talk from B12 fans/media down playing the potential for the B12 to get 2 teams. I understand it's an up hill climb for the conference. But so far it is going about as well as it can.
1) ND lost to NIU and beat TAMU; both were positives for the B12
2) FSU and Clemson are 1-3, NC State lost to tenn; ACC looking like a 1 bid league
If G5/acc/nd only have 2 bids that leaves 10 (mostly for sec and b10) for everyone else. The B12 currently has 3 teams in top 15 in AP. The G5 got a team in the 4 team playoff. I think the B12 still is a little ahead of what the G5 reputation was when it was P5/G5. It really is more of a 3 tier view - P2, B12/ACC, G5.
Important to remember that early season polls are based primarily on last year's teams. The non-OU/T teams were not great a year ago. But that doesn't mean 2 or 3 won't be good this year. Prior to last year ('20, '21, '22), the current B12 members made up 2-4 of the final top 12 teams in the CFP rankings each season. They also had 2 teams in the top 4 and made the 4 team CFP in 2 of the 3 seasons (one of those was a G5 Cinci team).
There will be bias. But there is opportunity. I think more "B12" media should look at what needs to happen and lay out a path for potentially getting 2+ teams in the playoff instead of saying "no shot" like we hear on Iowa Everywhere...
There is a path. It just will be more difficult.
