"Coach Paul Rhoads is known for being passionate, and CyclONE Nation loves him for it. If you were watching the Cyclones' win over #15 TCU last weekend, you'll probably remember his animated behavior in the 2nd quarter that lead to a broken headset. That very headset is the newest online auction item, autographed by Coach Rhoads himself. Check out this unique memorabilia here:

what you think about this...IMO i don't think is very necessary but i guess that's why im not making millions of dollars every year.

Why not? Does it come with the photo of him boiling over because the refs are blowing the call (in fairness, they eventually got it right)?

Can we get it signed with a personalized message to the refs from that day including all of the F-bombs? If so... I am in.

I'm gonna sit on my Fran McCaffery chair and talk on my Paul Rhoads head set.

Who wouldn't want to sit in a bar with Rhoads and McCaffery and listen to them trading stories about unleashing their inner rage? Now that would be pure entertainment.

If it can be fixed, maybe you can listen while the coaches talk. Very cool.

It'd be pretty awesome. Those two coaches have so far been the saviors for their respected programs in terms of rejuvenating fan interest. Having a few beers with either one of them would be awesome.

If this becomes more than a one time thing then I believe it is not cool at all. I would be disappointed to also see broken headsets from Purple Kansas, OU etc on the auction. But the auction itself is a great idea and how I got my All -American banner honoring Crutchfield, Dexter Green, Mike Stensrud and McFarland. Great way to decorate the Cyclone man cave and give money to ISU at the same time. But I have enough faith in CPR that he will not embarrass us and become a Bob Knight.

The guy that follows CPR around with the headset knew what was coming... he couldn't get that headset away from CPR fast enough.

It's cool and a novelty. As said before I hope this is a one time thing with this item.

I saw the thread title, and was trying to figure out what a set of broken heads was worth. Perhaps someone should fix that "Headset".

Anybody want a black Addidas mock turtleneck? I just wish it had some Mountain West basketball referee blood on it and it would be priceless.

It's neat, but I am surprised someone is actually willing to pay $385 bucks for this..I mean, where would you even display something like that? "Hey come check out my signed broken headset, it's in the random junk drawer with the rest of the broken stuff I can't seem to let myself get rid of."
