ISU Apparel deal?

For those of you not excited by under armour, they just signed up UCLA for 15 yrs at $280 million total. $18.6 million per.

And UCLA is juuuuust a bit more valuable of a program than ISU is. Not that order of magnitude better, but we're not hitting 18 Mil with anyone.
What is included in the deal? Does it include rights for UA to produce and sell UCLA products?

ISU is not getting UCLA but i have to imagine when they're up for a new contract their will be more offered than the current 400k a year were currently getting from Nike.

They can go with underarmor if they want, I guess I will just have old apparel going forward.
Nothing to do with brand loyalty, just rarely see UA clothing that looks good.

I just went to Cincinnati's Online Store. They have some good gear on there. They signed a 10 year 47 million dollar deal.
Colorado State got a 5 year 11 million dollar deal from Under Armour.
The fact that we get $400k from Nike is inexcusable from a Big 12 school.
Still wondering where the value is for UA. Is it mostly in selling UCLA branded UA products? Or is there enough power in the UCLA name to sell UA products without the UCLA branding on the products?
Having a large deal in the PAC 12 with a big name school like UCLA allows them to go head to head with Nike big name in Oregon on the west coast
But UA isn't cool enough for some people here...

Amazing how some people will see those numbers and still say "But I like Nike more so ISU shouldn't try to go to UA"

When ISU got the Nike contract it was a big deal and better than the contract before. That being said Nike has done well on ISU gear. I am sure the athletic dept will make the deal that is best for the school.
I do a lot of work in the apparel industry and UA has been the hottest thing for damn near 5 years. It hits all demographics, and kids love it. UA is a good, good thing.

I'm one of the older guys on here and I don't really care who the brand is. If it's Nike, they better come up with a much larger amount of money, or try to get in with UA. The article says what recruits like. If the recruits like the newer, flashier uniforms, then get newer, flashier uniforms.
