His big catch against Miami could be argued as one of the most important plays of the game in my opinion.
I’d add that in his career, including time at Army, he had over 1,000 yards on 51 catches and over 20 yards per reception.

I don't doubt it. He was a classic under the radar guy who was a little raw in HS. He could be the most athletic guy at the position though. He was a tremendous track athlete and was running in the 10.6 range in HS.
Lucky there was a coaching change at Northwestern.

Small sample size, but I really thought he looked the part in the Cincy game when he had those couple catches.

I thought he could be a dude, at one point. Felt like they tried to get him on the field a good amount at the end of last year, but don’t recall him making a huge impact by any means
He was pretty good in the bowl game. More proven than most the other receivers, thought he would really produce this year. Maybe he just doesn't like it in Ames, maybe he is looking for more money, maybe he was told to move on.

From what I saw recently he wasn't going to play. Having said that...that ISU position group better get some help from the guys not playing that day.

A lot of the players are saying that Eskildsen had a tremendous spring camp.
I like how in the most recent episode of Williams and Blum they both say they recently learned from Eskildsens father the correct pronunciation of his last name, then proceed to pronounce it 3 different ways.

This is a bummer for me…. I was excited about his potential for this year. Hopefully it’s just because he was getting beat out by younger guys.

Kind of tough luck for the kid. Goes to Army where they never throw, then enters last season hurt and never really got into the rotation. He did look good in the bowl game, but that was with Higgins sitting out. I’d guess he wouldn’t have gotten nearly as many snaps with Higgins playing.

It sure looks to me like a depth chart came out and he was down a ways. He needs snaps and video to get any kind of shot at an nfl camp invite. So, if he isn’t starting here, it makes sense to move down a level and put some plays on film.

Ess-kill-sun. The D is silent.

John Walters made a point of clarifying it a while back. Which I forwarded to Williams and Blum, and was told thanks.

And they still kept mangling it.

I know that you were trying not to be overly optimistic, but a 10.52 is generally in the 10.5 range. You round to the nearest tenth. ;)

For comparison, Kene ran a 10.54. As did Dom Overby—who is an overall freak athlete, not just 100m.

By all accounts, Eskildsen is working hard, going the extra mile.

It’s his last go round, last chance at the NFL. I think it most likely that, rather than being one of six guys, he wants to go somewhere he has a chance to be the featured receiver.

He’s certainly fast, athletic and skilled enough. I was kinda looking forward to he and Chase Sowell (pronounced So-well) both being on the outside together, but oh well.

We’re just that deep now.

Good luck to him!
