Iowa State Vs. Iowa

From a #8 ranked team in the country, I expected more than I saw.
Cool Story Bro. What more did you want? Stanzi going 24-24? Shutting out a team that scored largely due to a fake punt? The defense getting a sack every down or getting an INT? Can you actually explain each facet that was "disappointing" for you? Great insight.

Iowa didnt disappoint, but I'm glad to see the didnt live up to my expectations against EIU. That tells me ISU has a shot at winning next weeks game.

ISU has a chance next week and it didn't matter how Iowa looked today. If the game is played 10 times, Iowa probably wins 8 times. I'm just hoping it isn't those two times for ISU.

Oh this week. Being blessed with trolling and constant "better than you" reminders from hok nation. You beat EIU, great job! You beat a team I'd never heard of until today. You played well, nobody will take that away from you and you're definately the favorite for next week. Hell, you'll probably win too. I dont speak for anyone but myself but I really do not care what the trolls (Rdubbs, Hawkfan; you're ok) have to say.

For one, I'm not a "bro". Secondly it was a sweet *** story. Lastly, to answer some other guys "question" (which really was more of a statement that he thinks I was wrong to insult the hawks) Yes I think the hawks could have played better, they showed that they arent as good as I thought they were.

Cool story bro..
And the latest contestant in the most annoying hawk fan is .... Krug! He's off to a slow start, but surprisingly enough, he used an old fanatic ploy of making fun of someone's grammar, first post no less! But then he had to follow it up with the lame and overly used, 'cool story bro' response. We'll see what this up and coming contender has in the next few days. Stay Tuned!

The only way that I see us winning is if Stanzi throws a pick-6 and a couple more TO's on top of that.

Other than that type of offensive game by Iowa, I can't see us scoring enough to win at Kinnick.

I'm really surprised at the glass half empty approach of Cyclone fans. We've been competitive with UI two of the last three years even without getting in the end zonweevEr even beat them once without scoring a TD! UI is good at Red Zone defense but it doesn't mean that we are going to continue this incredibly poor rate of scoring TDs in the red zone against them. Odds are, if we get to the red zone 4 times, we're going to score a couple TDs.

A-Rob ran for 100 yds against them last year. For as long as Ferentz has been there they've struggled some in the preseason. And on top of it all Stanzi is no Heisman candidate like Drew Tate was. There are lots of reasons to be confident.

I'd set the line at -10 and that's with me drinking the Kool-laid. I think IA is a tough matchup for us -- I doubt our D is even top 90 in the country, BUT there are reasons to be confident against them. We will score TDs. Regression to the mean can be a b!tch, Hawks!

I agree. I don't understand why anyone joins message boards to teams other than the team their a fan of in any situation.

When I posted on a San Diego Chargers message board, there was a Bronco fan who had about 2,000 posts on the Chargers board. Go look at the Bronco message board he was a part of, and he only had 1,000 posts. Made no sense what so ever.
