Ummm, the jerseys were designed over the course of 2 years. Of course the font that is sewn/embroidered in is going to literally be the exact Iowa State athletic department font.

Helmet decals are stickers that can be swapped in minutes. Likely the next time we saw these all-whites we’ll have a different helmet sticker, probably just the block I-State.
Yeah you see this with teams that only swap decals and don't get full kits for the uniforms. For instance, Oklahoma State has a script Cowboys decal they use for various uniform combinations and their jerseys don't have the cursive.

The black bar seems to have silver accents on it. Didn't notice that on first glance.
The cyclones is too small so it feels like it's missing something underneath it. But pretty neat overall.

One of my only complaints about the athletic department is their slight refusal to lean into the Cyclone as a logo. Instead we roll with I-State. Bleh.

We are the only Cyclone in the nation. There are a billion Bulldogs, Tigers and Wildcats.

People hate the bugle, and I get it, but we should be using a Cyclone logo more often.
Take the old Cyclone logo, tweak it BARELY if at all. There you go. Print money.

Good call didn’t notice that either. Looks pretty cool

My only critique is they logo seems to be just a bit high on the helmet. It would take up the space people are talking about better, and seems like it used to be lower on the side in the past. But with the extra holes and cutouts on current helmets they may have moved it up to fit best on all the different styles.

But those are very minimal issues. This looks fantastic otherwise.

It is a bit higher than the "classic," but as you said cutouts/holes probably are a factor.

Disagree. Side panels are atrocious.

You're not wrong.

But some uniforms are legends because of the games rather than the design.

The blue-white-orange Boise St. look from the Oklahoma upset are an example of this phenomenon.

That is awful. And yes if it is a script and is this crappy cursive one I will be very disappointed!

Why in gods name does anything use that generic cursive crap when we have such a good script already licensed.
glad this worked out. looks good!

We are more than uniforms and a logo. What makes us more special than most is our passion. It’s not about a f’n logo, or colors, etc.. It’s about what we deserve as a fan base. We deserve THIS period. We are making a “new normal” one win at a time! Fall in, buy in! Get ready to be great! I feel it… it’s coming! Be ready to receive! You must believe, otherwise you will never achieve!

The silver accents were gone from the actual helmets used on Saturday. Interesting, probably the right move.

99% sure this is absolutely unrelated, but the first two seasons of the "Cyclones" script helmet (1987-88) the sleeve stripes on the red jersey we in the same "order" as they are on this year's cardinal jersey

How do Broncos not go back to these uniforms full-time?

Half the NFL has vintage looks that are 10x better than their "modern" versions.

Atlanta Falcons (either their 1960s throwbacks of their 1990s "Dirty Birds" era)
Dallas Cowboys (as I've always thought their 1970s "Dandy Don" look was their best)
Denver Broncos (the classic "Orange Crush" look can't be beat)
Detroit Lions (the new ones are okay but the Sanders era look was their best)
Houston Texans (new ones are a slight downgrade from their original look)
Jacksonville Jaguars (their 1990s throwbacks from this weekend were gorgeous)
Los Angeles Rams (there was absolutely nothing wrong with their classic look)
Miami Dolphins (the 1972 undefeated look should have never gone away)
Minnesota Vikings (the new ones are okay but not as good as the throwbacks)
New England Patriots (either the Brady era look or the gorgeous white-red-white throwbacks)
New Orleans Saints (their new ones are okay but not as good as the originals)
New York Giants (their new ones are neither throwbacks nor an intelligent, modern design)
Seattle Seahawks (their navy look is drab, go back to the blue/green/silver all the time)
Tennessee Titans (went from a unique design to a generic dark blue team, blah)
Washington Commanders (the gold pants help but this was still a downgrade)

A bunch have teams have went back to classic looks and been better for it...

Buffalo Bills
Cincinnati Bengals (most of the way)
Cleveland Browns
New York Jets (either the 1990s update of the 1960s look or their modern update of their 1970s look)
San Diego Chargers
San Francisco 49ers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (either their red/pewter or even better the orange creamsicle)

Everybody should just do what these teams did and admit they had it right back in the day.
