I hope you are right but I fear that you will be disappointed. I feel a true cursive script similar to what has been on the sideline polos being slapped on those helmets. We will have a feeling of being let down similar to the bugle disappointment several years back.

I don't really care, but we're dropping the ball using this generic script.

That is awful. And yes if it is a script and is this crappy cursive one I will be very disappointed!

Why in gods name does anything use that generic cursive crap when we have such a good script already licensed.

It's funny though if we finally use a old logo (besides Ames) and it's in black and white. Like my gawd why is it so hard for them to embrace our past lol (yes I know our past is full of pain but they used near logos)

Not exactly breaking news but I have it on very good authority that it’s black script cyclones. Let’s roll.

Love the idea here.

@joe - if you’re by chance a poster here… can you mockup the Trice bars coming up slightly from the back? I think having them start up “front” and end in the back of the helmet facing ‘down’ is a bit too busy. But I think they could look really cool/subtle (and unique) from the back of the helmet, going about halfway up. Either skinny like my terrible mockup, or wider.

For sure. Hopeful that now we’re using that logo our Nike gear will all change. I know the team hear the football and basketball teams have gotten has the one that’s used now.
The teams get some sweet gear.
There were some great Jordan brand warmups they got once for NCAA tourney that I've searched forever for.

Yeah the athletes get the best gear and nearly all of it is not open to the public. Lol

One of my only complaints about the athletic department is their slight refusal to lean into the Cyclone as a logo. Instead we roll with I-State. Bleh.

We are the only Cyclone in the nation. There are a billion Bulldogs, Tigers and Wildcats.

People hate the bugle, and I get it, but we should be using a Cyclone logo more often.

Serious question: if we had beaten Texas then, would people’s opinion of the turdnado bugle be more favorable?

My opinion of the logo has always been tainted by the Jacob Park fiasco and defensive breakdowns. That said, we may have never seen our dynamic D scheme if we win that one.

I don’t think the logo is that bad. But I respect them for trying to modernize a Cyclone

No.

I'd wager most people don't even associate it with that game. They just recognize it's a bad and cheap emoji looking logo that would be more at home as a generic option for a user created team in Madden 2004 than on a FBS football helmet.

It's awful on its own merit.

The attempts to recreate logos recently have all been bad. The bugle, the new walking Cy and the swirl Cy head are just bad and unispiring.
