He definitely needs to improve quite a bit in the off season and work on getting a quicker release on his shot if he ever wants to play significant minutes at ISU. Right now his shot looks like a slower version of Lexi Donarski’s
I noticed that about Eli’s shot the other day when they had videos of their shoot arounds, all sorts of funky and slow, good comp to Lex.

Yeah, these guys are JJ Redick. And if the coaching staff is sharing this kind of info with these guys let’s just say that’s disappointing.
That wasn’t my point it was that there are actually some really good podcasts out there that have hosts that are great at evaluating talent. But I know what you’re saying.

I do believe that the staff providing information and insight is not a bad thing. I think in respect to CW and this board, we’ve gotten great info but not ALL the info, which is perfect.

His jump shot doesn’t look anything like that. It’s so confusing.

I guess when I said 'significant impact' I meant more leading the team in scoring or shooting. Since that is what everyone agrees we need next year. Another Kunc, Jacobsen, or even Burton doesn't help us improve in that area.
Yes - we need two guards that can score - and they need to be the leading scores on the team next year.

Am I missing a Burton or are you saying Deonte Burton wouldn’t help us?
Reading comprehension... Of course he helps any Iowa St team. Originally I was referencing P6 guard transfers, because that's what everyone says we need to be looking for.
Speaking of Burton, I think it's possible, and I would be ecstatic, if Omaha can play like Burton.

Hey, don’t blame me because you implied Burton wouldn’t be of massive impact. He’d immediately be the best offensive player on the roster by a decent amount. He’d also bring really good rebounding, block and steal numbers.

I feel like if one guy has 55% of the points against you it might be time to reevaluate what you're doing.

I would guess they tried something as the game went on but if there's other capable guys there's not much you can do.

I remember seeing Nick Collison play twice in the state tourney and it was lob city but Iowa Falls had very good talent all over.

At least one does for sure. I'd be ok if Omaha is 2nd at around 14.
I would love Omaha to be a 14ppg guy, but that's a high expectation for a freshman, even a McDAA.

I am hoping for a tfr who can get us 15 ppg and then Lipsey, Williams, Biliew and King around 10ppg. Then if we can get 5-7 ppg out of Jones, Momcilovic and Ward/post tfr we should be solid scoring team.

Of course he would. However, we can also say he would not improve the lack of backcourt production we're facing next season.

Milan Momcilovic has simiar style as Sam Dekker when he was at Wisconsin?
Ok, but would say Milan is a far better shooter than Dekker. FT and 3pt % alone. Dekker might be a little stronger close to the rim but still too early to tell there. Both of them seem to be able to get their own shot off the dribble

I do not think Omaha’s current offensive skill set is such that he gets 14 points per game. Maybe his sophomore season. Milan has the skill set, but may struggle for a while with the physicality of the game. That’s why I said our top two scores need to be portal guards. Our current roster has no scorers. Lipsey and Tre King will improve some. Lipsey must get a shot. An offensively challenged team cannot afford one guy that does not need to be guarded. I think the future is extremely bright, but next year might be rough unless the portal is good to us. Need 2 proven three point shooters.

I guess I’m not understanding your point. Are you saying he’s not a back court player? I could understand that point but on every ISU roster besides the ones he was on he’s a backcourt player. He’s really almost the exact thing we need. He’s a three level scorer who handles the ball better than anyone save Lipsey and Williams and while I won’t claim him to be a great defender, he was a good defensive rebounder and his length and athleticism certainly brings something to that end. If Burton would have been in a Shayok or Brockington type role where he was the guy instead of one of many guys, I think he would be looked at much differently.
