ISM and Smith were pretty good for Stanley, but a better QB probably would have made those guys shine even more. I would take Stanley right now though.

Their punter made a world of difference. He probably won a couple games for you. Stuck teams deep and it made it easy on the defense because they knew the other offense was limited in their options.

The timing sucked, but I don't think Iowa was going to land anyone in the portal. Losing Tracy was no big deal to me or most Iowa fans. Losing Jones hurt a lot though.

I mean they got Charlie Jones out of the portal. But I understand your point. Kirk is typically reluctant to go to the portal which I actually appreciate. Again I don’t think anybody has anything against Jones line of thinking and if he left when Tracy did it’d be easier to digest.

They were missing two starting WRs but that wouldn’t have mattered much with how bad Petras was yesterday.

I have very little confidence in our offense, again. Our D should hold them down. But I wouldn't be surprised if this is a 17-6 type of game, or closer.

KF already got his QB, who is much higher ranked than Purdy, back in December.

Would be a pretty good get for ISU. He would be in the bottom half of Iowa's class in terms of ranking and way behind Petras.

If we can still get "fallback" recruits like Petras, sign me up every year.

Nice to see what we can do with a legit QB coach back in IC.
