Even Spencer Benton type of production is valuable. We do have a preferred walk-on in Kyle Krezek. At DT, he could potentially work his way into a scholly. I like his film. Hopefully a Jordan Carstens type.

He picked Iowa over Michigan State. Hopefully he can play a role similar to Sam Brincks last year and give quality reps at both DE and DT.

“The Iowa Hawkeyes are adding a graduate transfer on the defensive line this year in Zach VanValkenburg from Hillsdale College. The 6-foot-4, 266-pound VanValkenburg, who also considered Michigan State, announced his decision earlier today.”
Not saying he was offered by MSU or not, because I don’t know, but where in that article does it say he was walking on at MSU?Considered walking on at Michigan State? That makes more sense

VanValkenburg, a graduate transfer out of Hillsdale College (Michigan), acquired his degree in three years of college. Now he is immediately eligible as a graduate transfer for the 2019 season. His 70 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles as a redshirt sophomore are why this 6-foot-4 and 260-pound defensive lineman was offered a scholarship by the Spartans.
Even if he didn't get a MSU offer, just go with the Iowa flow and say you fended them off.Not saying he was offered by MSU or not, because I don’t know, but where in that article does it say he was walking on at MSU?
Kid looks like a beast and apparently the integrity and character of Iowa and KF/coaches were huge deal to him. Probably a big reason he chose Iowa over Sparty.
So you just made it up. Ok say that thenHe would look to be more of a walk on type candidate at a Michigan St

Who reported?
It's been reported by sources, reportedly. Great high-character kid, looks like a winner.
