Injuries - the concern…

I am concerned the groin injuries of TL and KG, despite sitting both today, won’t be significantly improved for the NCAAs. There was likely little benefit (seedings) to give Tamin a go today - so you may as well rest him along w KG.

In my experience it takes weeks of inactivity to put a real dent in healing a groin strain/pull. Tamin looked mighty gimpy today in warmups.

Hope I am wrong.

It's unfortunate, but it's part of the game. Look at Houston last year when Shead went down with a severe ankle injury during the NCAA tournament. Or Niang's injury during the tournament. And this year's squad has been hit hard by the injury bug. Hopefully Lipsey and Gilbert will get healthy for next week. All the players can do is step up in the face of adversity. And all fans can do is cheer on the players who are able to play

Excited for the NCAA tournament. Best time of the year.

I know this won’t be popular but right now Gilbert is a dtstraction to this team! Tamin is a true warrior and will be playing next week even if it’s on one leg! I do not question his toughness!! However, Keyson’s injury is more between his ears than anything else! I have heard this info from very credible people at ISU.
Take that ish over to the Hawk boards where that kind of talk belongs

I have no doubt Tamin will give it his all. But the fact he didn’t play today means his injury is bad.
Or that the decision was made that this game wasn't important enough to risk it.

I'm just a bit concerned about Gilbert. really he was the best player on this team from the beginning of this season to idk mid-january and something happened. I just don't think he's going to be able to get back to normal
Hindsight is 20-20, but I wonder if he should've sat for several games right when it happened. The problem was that Milan then got hurt and had to sit.
Oh well. Next week is a new season.

Would really expose the committee’s inconsistencies if it does. They haven’t put much emphasis on conference tournament wins.
Nor should they unless teams are winning 3 or 4 games/hoisting the tourney trophy.

ISU going 1-1 and losing a very close game with 2 starters out (especially considering the team expects both to play in the dance)...yeah wouldn't move my opinion on any team's projected seed

That could be. But think of the injuries Tamin had played through during games that were far less important. I’m happy he didn’t play, I just think he’s probably a lot more hurt than he claims.

Groin is like hamstring. It really limits what you can even do physically, AND its really easy to re-aggravate and make worse. Treatment treatment treatment, and hope we play friday not thursday.

And I guess just pray for a miracle for Keyshon. Would hate to say I have already seen his last game at ISU.

Houston also had injuries before the tourney started. It was a factor in ISU beating them so bad.

I’ve mentally already ruled Keshon out. Anything we get from him next week is a huge bonus.

The real concern is Tamin.
