My turn:

No rapper can rap quite like I can
I'll take a muscle-bound man and put his face in the sand
Not the last mafioso I'm the emcee cop
Make you say "Go **!" and do the wop!

(**'s to prevent easy answers.)
One of my favorites of all time.

Not exactly sure.
That's the Beastie Boys - "College Girls Are Easy."

Seriously the beasties??? He had it recorded on an old tape that was barely audible but would blast it. I was mostly hard rock then.

Thought I would mention, another thing that makes Scenario popular these days is Fat Amy rapped it in the Pitch Perfect 2. Those are actually pretty good movies.

I think Eazy E also covered it. I'm pretty sure it was in that order, not the reverse.

Actually I don't think it's the beastie boys. Also, your video does not have the song.

Haven't seen either of those although saw a commercial for the second one and am blaming it for my Packers sucking now.

Raise your hand (or gimme a like!) if you actually watched "Yo! MTV Raps!" with Ed Lover and Doctor Dre (not the Dre you're thinking of) on Saturday mornings? If you remember Fab Five Freddie?

That scene made me cry and nearly made me throw up, because I was laughing so hard. I hate the Packers, but Clay Matthews is just... great scene. So funny.

I got a big long Caddy not like a Seville
And written right on the side it reads 'Dressed to Kill'
So if you see me cruisin' girls, just a move or step aside
There ain't enough room to fit you all in my ride

Song and group?

Like that defense needed to get any softer.

Way off hip hop topic, but it reminds me of the theory of relative Cubness (you know, the more ex Cubs on your team, the more likely you will blow it). The Packers have crossed an uncomfortable level of ex Hawkeyes.

Run DMC loved their Caddies. And leather. I've only heard the phrase "tougher than leather" during the period where they released that album, and I've never heard it since.

I'm going to take a lunch break, and give some other people a chance to answer these riddles.

I was pretty young (9) when YO! MTV Raps started. At first I really wasn't into rap and hip-hop. I was in a hard rock/heavy metal phase. Then a few years later groups like Tribe Called Quest, Arrested Development, and others really got to me. It became a lot more mainstream, but not played out. It was cool for a white kid to like it as well.

I wish I could go back to the late 80's/early 90s and really listen to hip-hop from the start.

I've been trying to figure out how it's possible that, in an "Old School Hip Hop" thread, it took 13 pages to get to any LL Cool J. Maybe they've been brought up already and I just didn't notice it.
