Iowa's SOS last year was #43. Cincy's SOS last year was #91.

Breathe dude.
Last year...this year Cinci plays the #11 toughest schedule in the nation. And they are rated in the Top 10 despite what they are facing on the schedule. Iowa...is ranked well below Cinci in both categories, for example.

Haha, you're the one who said "last season" Cincy's SOS was better than Iowa's.

But good point, preseason SOS rankings are usually spot on. Lol.

EDIT: Wait, Sagarin is the only SOS rating that matters around here. C'mon.

EDIT EDIT: Lol, dude, your link is just the preseason rankings and not SOS.

They are certainly indicative of what a schedule is likely to be like. No idea what point you THINK you're making.

Your link doesn't have SOS rankings. It's preseason rankings. It says so at the top... " NOTE: Until a team plays a game, this SOS rating simply shows their own predictive rating as a placeholder.

So no, Cincy's preseason SOS isn't #11. Lol.

I don't necessarily want Friday night games either, I'm just talking about ways to get more money. But if you have 12 or 14 teams there are more teams to spread those Games around. I do remember a pretty special Friday night game in ISU history that got more publicity than they ever had before.

The Wednesday night game idea would be different as the only national game in prime time with no NFL to compete with either. It could be a good way to highlight the school.

Playing Wednesday-Saturday or Saturday-Wednesday without a bye sounds absolutely awful.

A team absolutely would have to have a bye on those weeks they played a Wed. game. I just thought that was assumed but it's still hard to do with just one bye.

Breathe dude.

What was Iowas SOS the "Fake ID" 2015 season? Genuinely curious. Prior to the Michigan State loss in the Big Ten title game and Stanford massacre.

WOW. There was about 10 pages of The Sky is Falling vs. The Sun Will Come Up Tomorrow!!

I don't think anyone on this board would argue that the preferred path is ISU ending up:

#1 Big10 Invite.
#2 Pac12 or SEC Invite.
#3 Reformulated Big12.

A Reformulated Big12 is a death sentence for some Cyclone fans. That's OK. I understand the desire to see ISU matched up against CFB elite.

For other fans, a Reformulated Big12 still means exciting CFB at Jack Trice. It's nice playing Texas, but to be honest I enjoy playing the historical Big 8 rivals more.

It might feel strange at first, but I could get used to schools like BYU, Boise, CSU, SDSU, Memphis, Cincy, UCF, Army or Navy in the Big12.

The Big12/8 would take a pretty big revenue hit, but $ doesn't guarantee wins. Ask the Longhorns!! Cincy was a top 10 team getting $9M from the AAC TV deal with ESPN.

The tough thing about a reformulated Big12 is none of the top options are geographically close to existing Big12 excluding WVU. Sorry, I don't think Houston brings much to Big12 that we don't already get from TT, TCU or Baylor.

Really wouldn't want any part of the dirty SEC.
