Why does anyone care what Vaughn thinks? I'm sure Kane, Ejim, Niang, Hogue, Thomas, Long, Morris, Edozie, SDW, Gibson, Ellerman, Abdelmassih, Sadler and Hoiberg don't care anymore...

Let's show Vaughn how we support people that want to be here, instead of ragging on him for not.

Agreed. I'm over him. We'll land 1-2 transfers this year and they will produce more than RV would have anyway.

money aside why would a top 20 recruit want to play for a team that didnt even make the NIT smh

If there's enough talent coming in, there can be some exposure value to competing in a schedule where you'll dominate and not yourself get exposed by other elite talent. See Doug McDermott, who got national attention and put up a ton of gaudy numbers while not really running into much other elite talent game in and game out.

The players love playing for Fred. He does such a good job making players better. His style of play is unlike any other in college. Why wouldn't guys want to play for him.

I was on the RV recruiting watch hard and was disappointed when he didn't choose us. But you know what, not a big deal and I don't think I will get all worked up about any one recruit again. We are getting beyond needing a 'stud' to get us over the top if we aren't already there. Lots of great talent that won't get attention of the idiotic sports media and CFH just needs a couple of them each year. Nice to have updates on them but it is up to them to decide if they want to be on the Cyclone Win Train now cuz it is rolling on with or without them.

Sure Rashad would've been fun to have on our team for a year, but I think it would pay off better if we got more of these one year transfers who have experience playing college ball.

Still would of gladly taken RV in a heartbeat though!

Or the CBI for that matter. I almost feel bad for that UNLV troll I told to have fun in the CBI, because they couldn't even make it there. There is always next season for that though right?

Not a great comparison. Doug McDermott took 4 years to build up that exposure. That's not exactly the path the player they're referring to is planning on.

Im not so sure we want all of these huge high school recruits. It's just as hard to win with them as it is to win with our type of team.

Worked for Kentucky once... and only once... though they got an easy draw with KState and Wichita State.

We'll see what happens

Kentucky also had a somewhat decent head coach. Calling Dave Rice the Scott Drew of the west is an insult to Scott Drew. Rice will take a talented UNLV team and either throw them to the NIT or lead them to a first round exit. I just hope we get to be the ones delivering the blow to them

wouldnt hurt getting 1 or 2 top 100 recruits every year like matt and monte, but i dont ever want to become a team like kentucky who starts all freshman and no senior leadership

The locker room video is recruiting gold too. Brilliant if calculated (or even somewhat calculated)..

Gotta disagree with you big guy. If I we could have all 4 and 5 star recruits as freshman, I would be very happy.

All we need to do is make the tournament - elite talent or no. As Tennessee shows, it is all about matchups. And with Fred on our bench, who knows what we are capable of.
