How crowded is Hickory Park on a Friday?

I want to eat there tonight as we are going to be in the area...probably around 6:45 to 7:15.

Is it a huge wait? I have never eaten there, and am looking forward to it.

They used to do call ahead seating but I don't know if they do anymore. Even if the place is packed, they do a good job of ushering people through fairly fast.

Hickory Park is ALWAYS busy. However, it seems a lot of people have already left for Spring Break, so you probably won't have much trouble. Even if you did, arganbright2 is right. They do a VERY good job of getting people in and out. I've been told there's an hour wait before and gotten seated in about 20 minutes.

Come to the light side, Jon. Hickory Park is the first step.

Its always busy...especially on the weekends. But its so big that typically the wait isn't more than 20-30 minutes (Unless something is going on in Ames).

I'm betting they tell you 45 minutes to an hour, but it's hardly ever that long.

Enjoy and go hungry!!!!

Try a chocolate Pepsi, just once.

Jon, I don't know what you are in the mood for but I have to recommend the hot beef sandwich with the buttered corn. If you don't like it, I will pick up your tab.

I'd say you would wait 30 minutes at the absolute most. Especially since it's spring break and a lot of students are gone.

You will not be disappointed, I'm sure of that!

I am pretty sure I will go for pork ribs. The cholesterol diet is taking a break tonight.

I am guessing a place like this has world class onion rings?

Saucy Southerner! Can't go wrong with that beauty!

I used to work there. If you knew was was going on with the Saucy, you'd never order it again.

If you're going between 6:45 and 7:15, plan to wait a while.

I will never go there on a weekend evening. NEVER.
