They were surprised that I wanted to watch and said they needed to verify it first. When I checked in for the first surgery, they told me I couldn’t watch that one, but they would monitor my vital signs to determine if I could watch the second surgery if I went through with it. Having helped with livestock birthing and butchering, this kind of stuff doesn’t bother me.

I went to ORA Orthopedics in Bettendorf, Iowa. The procedure took about an hour. I recommend wearing sweatpants that are easy to take off and on. I remember a few things from the first surgery. The room was cold, there was loud Christmas music playing, the surgeon, and three fantastic nurses. One of the nurses stayed by my side and continually asked if I was okay. The surgeon spoke to me during the procedure and even sang a little. He was from Sweden and had a strong accent; the only downside was that he went to Iowa. LOL.

During the second surgery, I was focused on watching. They had a sheet ready to cover my arm if needed.

As for why I wished I had done my right hand first, it would have allowed me to use my dominant left hand while healing, which would have made things a lot easier dealing with the first healing process and knowing what to expect for the second healing process. In fact, during the feedback questionnaire after the surgeries, my only negative comment was that if both hands need to be done, there shouldn’t be an option to do them both at once. They should recommend doing the non-dominant hand first.

Sorry about yet another question. Are you released the same day or do they keep you for a day or so?

For carpel tunnel I would think you would be released the same day it was done. I've had hernia surgery twice and I went home both time afterwards.

How out of touch is Boxster with pro sports? Was leaving the gym late afternoon today and overheard some people talking about their kids being bummed out about the Vikings loss on Monday. And, it was news to me.

So, yeah, I watch zero local TV news and don't follow the Vikings or pro football unless maybe Purdy is/was playing.

Some construction guy stopped at the job site today wondering about who we were and if we did jobs in the area, but he had us confused with someone else. He talked with my foreman a while and said he was looking for employees. Said that he doesn't allow swearing on his job site. Well that's why he has no employees. Or of all the trades, the only people that swear more than framers are concrete guys.
That f*cker isn't going to have anyone working for him.;):D

Not exactly sure.
Well………..my youngest just impressed me. Info came through my daughter so it was not direct but second hand. He apparently asked who is considered the most attractive girl in his HS to prom and she said yes. Didn’t know if he would even go but he decided to go big or go home and it worked.

Anyone care to give a drama-free synopsis of what went wrong at tonight's game?
I don't need to hear that "they didnt care/didn5 want it enough, or that were in free fall and won't win another game this season.
I'll hang up and listen...

Couldn't hit 3s and a really physical game. Jw & EH weren't happy with the officiating. Oh well regroup and defend Hilton.
Edit had the radio version, so gave you the short synopsis.

Shot 1-16 from three and had 14 turnovers.
Devries' take:
1. We turned them over, tried a bunch of adjustments in game.
2. Javon Small is best guard in the country. scored 13 points in final minute and a half. When he is in a zone, he can't be stopped.
3. ISU scored 40 points in the paint. We took away their layups and open 3 point looks, and we had to give them the pull ups inside. cant take away everything.

My take: Devries can go **** himself with a chainsaw.
