This prick got into my facebook...changed the account email and cell number to my account. Now of course he's posting as me and "selling cars his sick uncle" has before he goes into a home.

I'm not able to access the account due to the email and mobile number being changed and Facebook doesn't seem to have a call center or help. So I have zero access to do anything.

WTF am I supposed to do?? Anybody have any experience with this crap?

Do you have a spouse/family member that can post to say this isn't you?

Can't people you were friends with report this?

Doesn't matter. Facebook will do NOTHING. Cousin got hacked and lost access and finally just gave up and created a new account. FB is so big that it has no actual customer support because it doesn't consider us "customers", they make their money off of ads and don't even police them for scams (and a HIGH percentage are just open today and gone tomorrow scammers).

They occasionally will delete a duplicate account spoofing or mimicking someone but even that's spotty even if a number of people report it. Best way to avoid attention and interest of hackers is to maintain a low profile and don't make you posts public and don't post in open public groups. Most of the groups I belong to aren't public.

Have as many of your FB friends and family report the page and every new post they put on it. Had a friend have this happen to her and FB would not do anything to help her. Just had them keep reporting it until it hit whatever magical number it takes for them to finally disable the account as being hacked/fraudulent. It's a helpless feeling I'm sure and its sad that FB is not able to do something quicker when it is reported.

Yeah, that's about the best you can hope for is to have them disable a hacked account. Not known anyone that got theirs back.

My account got hacked and disabled a while back. I made a new one, but haven't made a post with it. Basically just have it to use messenger.
