The source of my pain at ISU games used to be Jeff Johnson cheer time, but it has now become Sweet Caroline going into the 4th.

I don't remember playing it going into the 4th against OSU last year. Can somebody validate this claim? I do know we played it after we won because I have video of that. In between the 3rd and 4th though???? Hmmmm.

i am 99% sure they played it between 3rd and 4th quarter of last year against osu and fed into the techno beat desert storm. Then they played desert storm right before the onside kick I think.

Being superstitious, I was more upset about the pre-mature cannon firing when they thought Lenz caught the touchdown and shortly after was the Woody fumble.

I agree. I've really grown to hate the song, regardless of circumstances. But I accept that it's become a tradition so I can live with it. BUT ONLY AFTER A WIN AND NOT UNTIL THEN. We should be firing up the crowd for the 4th quarter not putting them to sleep with Sweet Caroline.

Yep. Sweet Caroline is the reason we lost. No other reason than the fact that the team and crowd heard a song in between quarters.

They played it between quarters at the Okie State game. And the entire student section sways and sings to it, not to mention half the adults. Hardly seems to put anyone to sleep.
