That we know of yet. This is CMC program, someone is there to be the next man up.
I hope you are right. But I doubt you are. AL was a special player, and we saw HB waiting in the wings. No one was in the wings this year. Milton and Jones are serviceable, but they arent close to AL or HB. Purdy is gonna have to improve immensely without a freak wr to bail him out next year. Butler and Montgomery saved this offense all season long.
Go ahead and look at our WRs for next year. There are some guys there with Lazard and Butler measurements. I don't have any doubts that they weren't seen in games, but watched and played and got mentored by at least Hakeem this past year.
Remember Purdy didn't show up until August at ISU, maybe late July pending when camp started. He had this season, spring ball, next camp and all off season to get linked up with other receivers. He had limited time with the current crew. He should see drastic improvement next year.
Hakeem has been by far one of my favorite players to ever watch at Iowa State. Total class act guy. You were an amazing Cylcone. Thanks for your time, now go do bigger and better things!

I can't wait to see his combine numbers, if he isn't an NFL player I will never understand the NFL.
I think his top speed is way better than most people think, it was pretty common for him to create distance between himself and B12 defensive backs in a foot race.
His first step may not be the best in the draft but at his size if his first step was among the fastest we'd be talking one of the most talented in a generation.
Hakeem is going to test off the charts at the combine. Wonder how much it will change the perception/open the eyes of Scouts though
Yeah I think his hands (too many easy drops at times) concern me more than his speed if anything.

Lazard had a great combine and ran faster than people thought and he didn't get picked. WR's in the draft are weird and I hope Hakeem is picked by day 2 at least

Matt Miller doesn't think anybody is going to take a running back at least until the end of the second round? OK.
That isn't necessarily what he is saying. This wasn't a mock draft, it was a list of his top prospects. RB needy teams may be more likely to reach on a running back in the first round, he just doesn't think it is a very good running back class as far as overall talent. However, I personally believe David is a top 50 prospect in this draft
