“Similar skill set”? I don’t get the impression that Marcedus is a one-trick pony.
A little off topic from Leech but since we are talking about weights, I’ll ask this. I’m 5-8, almost 5-9 and I’m about an inch away from being able to grab the rim and I’ve never lifted a weight in my life. I always refused to do so when I played sports for some reason. I’m pretty athletic considering I’ve never lifted. I have dreams all the time that I can dunk.. So you’re telling me if I lifted weights, my dream might become a reality?! Lol
As for Leech, his guard skills are impressive and that could definitely help him overcome his weight. He has seemed pretty explosive in the games I’ve seen. Extremely intriguing to know there’s another level that he can reach as he continues to get back to 100%.
Jok didn’t get ranked in the top-30 early on because he was a standstill shooter. Injuries and going to a poor program changed his game.Agree, he's much more skilled with the ball and explosive. The only similarity I see is their outside shooting.
I don’t care about someone’s weight. Especially a guard/wing. I care about their skill level and Leech has a lot of it.
What? I've never heard this one.Good story, I hope they are looking at both his legs regularly for stress fractures. Need to get him off of meat and dairy to minimize calcium being leeched from his bones. Hopefully nutritionists can help him strengthen his bones. Strength training will help.
If Leech can stay healthy, looks like a steal for ISU.
Not well known, but makes sense chemically. Meat and dairy require an acidic solution to be digested. Body doesn't want to be acidic so needs to neutralize the acid. Best source of acid neutralizing compounds available to the body is the calcium stored in bones. What? I've never heard this one.

That is why osteoporosis is not seen in countries where the diet includes little dairy or meat.
This is not information the meat and dairy industries want the general populace to know.
Ah yes.........the infamous "Cornell-Oxford-China nutrition project". Where they turn a bunch of Chinese into guinea pigs to advance the vegan cause. Don't think I would put too much stock into this or turn Mr. Leech into a vegan just because a hand full of pointy heads with an agenda says we should. I remember not long ago everyone was told that studies show if you eat eggs, you might as well be putting a gun to your head.
Yep. Further research says the calcium that is excreted is coming from the diet not the bones.Ah yes.........the infamous "Cornell-Oxford-China nutrition project". Well in this instance, both were 5 star recruits that got hurt and lost most interest from the blue bloods... so pretty easy to see why he's being brought up. As for calling him "Jok-strap", the guy was pretty damn good, and seems to be a pretty decent person. Aside from that, he's also been graduated for two years and you are still calling him that. Perhaps it's time to move on from the name calling.Don't understand the obsession with Jok-strap. Amazed how many times he is brought up on this site.
