Any advice on getting rid of pesky gnats in the kitchen? They seem to hover around the sink and cupboards directly above the sink, and are beyond annoying.

I wash my dishes immediately after use (don't have a dishwasher), empty the trash regularly, etc., but they're still here. Don't want to use Raid because of the fumes and it doesn't seem to work with gnats anyway.

Any homemade concoctions for these guys?

Dont leave fruits and veggies out on the counter or wash them all really well. They probably came in on something. Alot of times they are on bananas and bags of onions.

That's it...exposed fruits...that's how they got there.

No fruits here--bread, pasta, cereal, ramen, and deli meats are pretty much all I have (and all foods are either in cupboards or fridge). Poor college kid on volunteer internship and eating cheap
I'm heading to the store later, will try to pick up some apple vinegar.

Had the same problem when I was a "poor college kid." We just had to do a deep clean. Make sure there are no dirty dishes in the sink, make sure the garbage is covered and taken out often, no food is exposed to the air, etc.

I think you meant what I changed in red. If not, sorry.
