The way I understand it the ”NIL “ packages already offered need to be paid out prior to July 1 or go through the clearing house . Will see if I can find a link to that after my meeting .
I think that was also what Willie & Basch said yesterday. Any funds paid after July 1 have to be approved. So Iowa would have write a $5M check before that date is my understanding.

I thought it could go into an escrow account and released as necessary, but could be wrong on that

That could be a legitimate work around , the money can be allocated to an account before July 1 , but not distributed in a lump sum

This whole Bo saga is giving me AJ Ferrari and daddy Ferrari vibes. Time will tell, but it seems like he didn’t make the U20 world team and the dad had a meltdown and tried finding someone to blame. All these other high school kids are getting attention right now and Bo needed to bring the spotlight back on himself

So what are the actual rules around recruits/commits training at an RTC anyway? I've heard something about being within 250 miles, but I don't know what's what anymore.

That’s what it’s supposed to be prior to signing their NLI I believe, but the NLI doesn’t exist anymore right? So it’s kind of a mess, like everything else. PJ Dukes coach said he’s only trained with NLWC like twice but that he’s been training with Lehigh at their RTC because of proximity. Lehigh has been welcoming to PJ and it’s benefitting both. So it sounds like some kids still follow the rules a little and don’t make it out to be more than it is. The RTC has to be open to letting them train there, which was part of the reason Blaze waited so long to commit to Penn state, he was training at their Ohio state RTC. To me it sounds like sour grapes and needing excuses and the spot light.

New Flow rankings were released last week. We are currently sitting at #4 in the team tournament rankings. Still a long ways to go before lineups are set, but how does everyone feel about this very early outlook. If we remain healthy this year I am cautiously optimistic.

Look, Bo is a great wrestler and I expect him to be very good. That said, it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s never an NCAA champ. He’s a better influencer than he is a wrestler and his media attention is oversized vs his performance on the mat.

Now it sounds like the overly involved dad is rearing his head and all I can say is I told you so.
