Tom Petty's "Don't Come Around Here No More"
Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer"
Aha's "Take On Me"
GNR's "Welcome to the Jungle"
U2's "Where the Streets Have No Name"

He played that this week, and it was awesome - he didn't don the top hat, but they did the trippy black-and-white thing in the background. I had forgotten how nuts that video was.

Angie - Your thread title made me think of this for a future Friday thread:

Which artist's music do you like but can't stand watching them perform?

I will save my number 1 pick for when you actually post this thread.
How about artists you like to watch perform but can't stand listening to? I'll start with Katy Perry.

"The Reflex" - Duran Duran
"Pour Some Sugar On Me" - Def Leppard
"Tell It To My Heart - Taylor Dayne
"Take On Me" - A-ha
"Black Hole Sun" - Soundgarden (actually didn't even see Angie mention above - great minds?)
"Cherry Pie" - Warrant

I saw a program the other day on Warrant - those guys flippin' hate that song. But the video was unforgettable, for sure......

Thriller, absolutely. MTV would show it at a specific time, as if it where a scheduled show.

Next is Rock of Ages by Def Leapord.

I remember when MTV would debut new videos/singles from mega-artists with a 'world premier,' then show it every hour on the hour for 24 hours. Madonna's "Vogue" was one of those videos. I always thought it was filmed so well - a classy look in black and white.

Then there's the Medusa (Julie Brown) parody with "Vague/Party In My Pants"...
