Friday OT #3 - Commercials

As I was watching TV last night I noticed an ad for a fast food burger, a Kit Kat, and some chips all had loud crunches when the person bit the item. I've never had a burger crunch so loud it overpowers the music. Also, Kit Kats never crunch for me, either. After the second commercial I wanted to punch something.

What are you annoying ad cliches?

I havent seen the commercial in a couple weeks, but that dude that used to "juggle" the JD Power awards for Quicken Loans ****** me off.

When that came on, my day was ruined.

Oh - the Mayhem ones with the guy who is a terrible actor (the guy who was on Season 1 of Law & Order: SVU and a few episodes of Sex and the City).

Too many to count usually a commercial with an annoying song I.e. who let the gate open one. Pretty much any cell phone comm. So glad Verizon's can you hear me know ad bit the dust.

Hardee's ads are disgusting as far as being a food ad. Makes me not want to eat.

I'm a man honey phone ad, plus the ones with the trampoline. Just unrelenting rotation there

Every single pharmaceutical ad.

You know what commercial still makes me laugh after seeing it 100 times? The State Farm commercial where the wife thinks the husband is cheating and he's talking to Jake from State Farm. Kills me everytime.

Agree on the State Farm thing. Reminds me of when an old girlfriend from high school called me a couple years ago.

When I got off the phone and told my wife (who has no idea who she is), without even looking up, her exact quote- "what did the ***** want"? Lol

I love the new Geico commercials with the "Happier than ..." guys. The one with Eddie Money running a travel agency is probably my favorite, or the Mutombo shot blocking one.

I had a teacher in High School whose brother filmed and photographed food commercials and adds. Had lots of cool tricks to make fast food look edible. Would put small pieces of cardboard between sandwich components to make them look bigger.
