What types of things (let's keep it PG or use innuendos, please) do you only buy online?

Buying toilet paper is a giant pain in the ass. It's bulky to carry when you're 5'2", and so I generally just order it from Amazon and have that be UPS' problem.

What do you prefer to buy online rather than in a local store?

Anything I can find cheaper than at the store I will. Lot of things like diapers and baby stuff usually is cheaper on Amazon, certain electronics too. If I am not in desperate need of something and can wait 2 days I'll buy it on Amazon if it will save me money.

Finally got my wife in the habit of price shopping stuff online before she buys it at the store. I will say though Target is becoming more competitive in some areas too. Their Cartwheel app sometimes has some good coupons or discounts and their Target Visa card takes 5% off at the register too so between the 2 you can sometimes get some pretty good deals. Occasionally they run some deals like 20% off Electronics if you use Cartwheel at the register and when you couple that with the 5% off with the Target Visa that's a pretty good deal if you are in the market for a higher priced item when they do that. Bought a TV that way once and was a better deal on it than they had on the same model on Black Friday.

Filters for the refrigerator water dispenser and filters for the house humidifier.

Also, most accessories for computers and handheld devices. Way better prices online.

Ditto this! It's nuts just how much cheaper those filters are at online vs in the store. I have a whole house water filter as well, if you buy the 10" filter at the store if you want a decent one it will probably cost you $25-35 a filter but on Amazon I've found a 4 pack that comes out to less than $17 a filter. Usually can get 2 or 3 fridge or house humidifier filters online for the price of just 1 if you bought them at the store too. Mark ups on that stuff it ridiculous.

Also another thing you are better off buying online than at the store are any kinds of cables or accessories you need for electronics. Those things are the biggest marked up items at stores because they entice you with a good price on the main item purchase then say "your going to need this this and this to go with it" which is where they make their profit from with the high mark ups. Just browse through the A/V cable sections or cell phone accessories and you'll easily find the same thing online for much less.

Pretty much bought all my little nieces Christmas presents on there.

I feel like I’ve been buying random stuff for my dad more than myself lately as he is technology deficient and wouldn’t know how to do it.

Where they love the governor
Diapers, wipes, etc for baby.
Dog treats (Dentastix, Coesquin).
Coffee (Mama needs her Tim Horton's)

Are all set up on the Auto-deliver schedule

I will second the Target stuff, though. Sometimes if you're lucky, you can score a $10 gift card if you buy two boxes of diapers, so that's usually a win.

Just about anything. Right now sitting in my amazon cart to price watch: backpacks for Disney trip, TV DVD series, movie DVD, birthday present for youngest kid, cordless Dewalt leaf blower, kitchen gadgets. Also just went through my monthly subscribe and save which is snack items, bottled tea, face lotion, Advil—things like that (don’t get everything monthly).

My dad was in the market for a OLED TV. Target was the same price as Best Buy, but he has the Red Card so additional 5% off. Target had just a few left in stock so went ahead and ordered it. The next day or so the price for that exact TV dipped $300 on Amazon. Target will price match Amazon under certain circumstance so after a phone call to Target saved another $300.

How much toilet paper do you buy at a time lol?

I buy a ton of stuff online. Really everything except your basic groceries. It's just a hell of a lot easier to compare things, and it's definitely easier to find just the item you're wanting without having to search a store hoping they have it.

I don't typically buy much online. I like to see what I'm getting and if I have to make the trip, I find myself buying less crap that I don't need. I do agree that filters and electronic cables are significantly cheaper online. I'll also upgrade my Cyclone gear online since the options in KC are pretty spotty at times.

Refills for the Diaper Genie come monthly.

All Christmas presents for the last 3 years (except for my wife’s annual “jewelry/please put up with me for another year” gift). There is literally boxes showing up every day for weeks.

Most household/kitchen items/gadgets - we recently got a Roomba and a steam vac. I’ve bought countless kitchen items. Basically, for anything that cost more than $20, I will check Amazon first to read reviews and compare prices.

Everything else I buy at Costco or Hyvee or Home Depot.

Not exactly sure.
Might I suggest trying another brand of TP? You really shouldn't be buying a product that does that to you...

;)

When I went to school, I had to go to a back storage area to grab some football gear, they kept the bulk TP there. I had never seen a box of TP that big. Image this box but about 10x bigger. I think it was a decade supply.

Supplements. I think I've bought over 20 variations of them and then return them full refund if they dont work or I have a negative reaction to them.

I have an Air Bear on the furnace, and I can buy filters way cheaper online, even cheaper than at Menards. And that's rare.

The vixen bought almost all the Christmas gifts online, too. I got a telescope.

You all just be thankful you don't live in our neighborhood.

Haha! We have four different bathrooms, and I always like to have enough stock in each one that we can get through a huge winter storm (with houseguests) or bout of stomach bugs without having some emergency where we need to get to the store. I like to have plenty of paper towels, bleach wipes, etc. on hand just because it's practical.

Costco / Sam's Club is the place if you want stuff in bulk.

I almost exclusively buy bike parts/accessories, tires, tubes and even cycling clothing on line. The selection and pricing is almost always head and shoulders above what I have been able to find at any brick and mortar store.
