I'm sure not many will bring up country songs as there just aren't a lot of country music fans here that I can tell but one came to mind as I was on an Eagles kick recently with Glenn Frey's death. Travis Tritt did a pretty good cover of The Eagles "Take It Easy" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD4SBLRuV14

A few others...

Big & Rich did a pretty good cover of Willie Nelson and Ray Charles "Seven Spanish Angels" on a TV special many years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EtBSg-gCPc

Rascall Flatts did Tom Cochrane's "Life is a Highway" for the Cars movie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UdZIh8_xGc

Emerson Drive covered Nitty Gritty Dirt Band "Fishin in the Dark" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtTEg5uzukg

The Band Perry has performed their twist of Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls" a few times too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPK5NAzqf64

I've always like the band Alabama a few years ago they put out an album titled "Alabama & Friends" that was other country artists doing covers of some of their hits. Jason Aldean's doing "Tennessee River" was pretty good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxJrBDsQbi8

Take it easy is a Jackson Browne song.

Correct. "Lay Lady Lay" would not have the same feel without the shaky, deep voice of Dylan.

His own cover of Girl from the North Country with Cash chiming in is loose, off for timing, rough, and perfect.

At one time I did not enjoy that album but came around when I realized how much he had changed his voice and sound in such a short amount of time.

A great late Doors show. Soundboard management recording. Albert King joins them for a couple of tracks, including this one. Doors = Power.

One of my favorites:

After I heard it, I wanted to go get married again and use this as our first song...oh well, I'll just wait until my next marriage.

I really like the Johnny Cash - Hung my Head. Cover of the Sting song. Really eerie song the way Cash sings it.

There are a lot of covers I really enjoy. Seeing the Guns n' Roses video reminded me of this one.

Speaking of Bob Dylan, it's hard to beat this cover.

The best one I saw in person was Built to Spill covering The Smiths. This is from a different concert but the same tour.

Good call. The original is a total turd/clunker and Cash (and Rick Rubin) really made it an incredible piece.

Some of mine:
"Atlantic City" The Band (Springsteen cover)
"Strutter" Drive-By Truckers (Kiss)
"Love in Vain" The Stones (Robert Johnson)
"Alison" Lydia Loveless (Elvis Costello)
"LA Freeway" Jerry Jeff Walker (Guy Clark)
"Honky Tonk Heroes" Waylon Jennings (Billy Joe Shaver)
"You Never Even Called Me By Name" David Allan Coe (Steve Goodman)
"Pressure Drop" Robert Palmer (Toots and the Maytals)

Nice call on "Atlantic City". Once of my favorite songs, although Bruce's version is tough to beat. Have you heard The Hold Steady's version?

I've been getting into Jerry Jeff lately, too. I really enjoy his stuff.

Edit: since this is the covers thread, here's Todd Snider covering JJW:
