And Gregg Marshall coming in high with a losing record....

Wow one final four and people think Wichita State is the next best thing since sliced bread.

Also, I'd argue our biggest win wasn't over Notre Dame, it was over UNC without having the hottest player in the nation at the time last year.

well holy hell. Now I've read everything.

We we played uconn as an 8/9 and killed them. We played nd as a 10 and slaughtered them. We almost beat the two seed that year.

That was some of the stupidest reasoning I've read for those ranks. Basically, the longer you coach, the higher your rank. How do you have a losing NCAA record and be considered good?

Couple things there:
1. We were the 10 seed and Notre Dame was the 7 seed

and 2. The best win was over 6 seed North Carolina to get to the Sweet 16 last year which included losing one of the best players from a 7 player rotation

that is awful.

I've never picked up an Athlon magazine, and this doesn't do anything to change that. My four year old son could have rated them better than that garbage.

Holy mother of god... that list is just awful. How is our best win not over UNC without our best player?

I like the one for the #20 coach, McKillop at Davidson. 3-7 record. His only three wins were with Steph Curry during one elite eight run.

Sounds more like Steph Curry had a really great year rather than McKillop is a transcendent tourney coach for just one year.

These guys ride the short bus.

20. Bob McKillop, Davidson (3-7)
His three NCAA wins were during a Stephen Curry-led run to the Elite Eight in 2008, but ask Marquette, Louisville or Ohio State if they want to see a No. 13 or 14 seed Davidson in the first round.

Here nor there
And Bill Self is a bad coach due to only making it to the second round in a year he had the top 2 draft picks.

Nuts. If it were not for bad luck, Fred would have 3 or 4 more NCAA wins IMO. I was really hoping Iowa got the 8/9 opposite UK. That 11-12 squad with Royce would kill this Iowa team or Davidson, and be 50/50 against Gonzaga imo

Who gets paid to write this garbage? I should become a freelancer, you can suck and still get paid.

Doesn't Fran need to make the tournament to be considered for a list of best tournament coaches? Siena shouldn't count. Note that it doesn't mention the choke in last year's play-in game . . . the highlight of Fran's tournament experience with EIU.

By putting Fran right ahead of Fred, they have to be trolling us.
