With the depth and talent on our team now, I would be surprised if CMC gives these 4 kids snaps before the kids who have been with the team all fall. He may do it, but I would think their attitude and effort would have to be off the charts before he would play them this year.

I don't think anybody is saying they expected to see Scates' ability get him on the field against SDSU. But we are now seven weeks in and if there is a staff who has shown they are willing to play talented, true freshman, it's CMC's. Whether or not Scates plays this year is attitude dependent, IMO.
If it’s a BB gun, why did you call it a gun? You were intentionally making it sound more dangerous.
They weren’t a threat to people with it. Agreed they put themselves in danger by running around with them.

Totally agree, CMC rewards the players that perform in practice. If any or all the freshman have been putting in the work, showed their commitment to the team and deserve to play over other players they should see the field as a reward for their effort. By re-joining the team they have made up for their mistake and gained the trust of the staff thus, should be treated like the other players on the team.

I mentioned it when it happened and I'll mention it now. The time when the cops were called was well before sunset that day.
We all know it is a BB gun, and I knew it was a BB gun when I wrote the first post. I did not intentionally leave BB out of it. All I was trying to say is with what is going on around the country and guns at schools and campuses, a cop will be more willing to shoot a person carrying a gun, because the cop sees it as potentially saving lives of other students. I was saying that these kids deserve the suspension that got and probably more, because they had a BB gun on campus that clearly looks like a regular handgun.
So in the dark running around campus what do youthink could have happened if the cops showed up?

Wow. How do you not see what this team is about, see what it has in front of it, and not want to keep your nose clean and be a part of it? I admire the standards Coach Campbell has set for our program.
These kids need to realize they are wasting away their opportunity to become tremendous upstanding college athletes. They are no longer in high school and need to start acting like adults. Joesph Scates is a huge disappointment, I had such high hopes for him.
Tayvonn Kyle is the 1 of the original 4 to not be suspended this second time, correct?

Extremely dumb. They had a chance to become part of something special here in this special season (which I hope will become more special) and they threw it away. I have no doubt that with what we have in the last 2 seasons, we'll get better recruits coming and it's not going to be "Iowa State needs me and should be thankful that I'm here" anymore but "I want to join Iowa State because I want to be part of something special"
