Reported that the Astros are supposedly interested in a Correa reunion. Hopefully there’s something to it and the Twins can unload that contact. Twins have plenty of young guys that can play SS.
Just hasn’t worked out for Correa in Minnesota. Twins should be willing to trade him for an A-ball lottery ticket if the Astros take on a majority of his contract.
Durán is probably my favorite current Twin behind only Buxton. This one stings. I guess it’s smart to sell high on relievers but it feels like they are punting on next year. They need new owners ASAP.
I don’t like the idea of a guy making these trades knowing he most likely will not be with the Twins next year.
Really needed to have the sale done before now so reasonably accurate decisions could be made on degree of rebuild/payroll going forward, etc.
Unless they're most of the way done behind the scenes and have made clear what their plans are, I'm not sure what to think. It's clear as long as the Pohlads are remaining the FO really doesn't matter, and frankly got sabotaged over the last 18 months anyway.
This is incredibly accurate. I was surprised at how emotional I got during that game, as I typically am pretty even keeled. Even losing the next series I felt like the team was set to be a contender for the next 5 years, and ithonestly felt that way until August last year when it just completely collapsed.... uggg.
I think this is being done at the request of the "new owners" Woof, this has been a slow motion wreck. I'm not very down on Rocco, seems like its hard to make chicken salad with chicken ****.
