If it somehow comes back linked to covid, all college sports are done for the foreseeable future.

Yeah, if it is somehow determined he had a heart condition caused by having had Covid.... hold on to your hats folks.

There is video of him on the stretcher. That's rough.

In regards to the heart condition as it relates to covid, do all athletes undergo a myocarditis test after they have tested positive for covid? I know this was a big deal in the B1G in regards to testing.
My son plays college ball and he had to undergo a mycarditis test along with bloodwork 10 days after he tested positive. His CPK levels were 15 the norm was 11. Doc said anything above 20 then cardiology gets involved. He was back to normal practice 4 days after the testing.

I thought they had cut back on that because they weren't finding much myocarditis, but I could be wrong on that and I'm sure it's a conference by conference deal.

As someone who has been hospitalized in a situation involving CPK (rhabdomyolysis), it's good to specify that those CPK norms are for a specific type of CPK related to heart damage (CK-MB).

It would be pretty nasty if longer-term effects of COVID-19 post-recovery could still involve heart/muscle damage.
