I wonder what the absolute maximum number of season tickets are available for sale each year? 50k? Stadium seats 61,500 so my simple-minded thought is that somewhere around 60,000 or so should be the max, but I am unsure how many tickets have to be made available to visitors. And I suppose several thousand seats are held back for group purchases from businesses.....part of the corporate tent sales and such.

Thoughts?
Im thinking it is the 45k number, it wont be more than 50k for sure, there are a lot of capacity numbers you have to consider, band, cheerleaders, and on field people all count in capacity. they guarantee several thousand to visitors, this is why many of those tickets become available last minute because if they release them back to us.
Plus the press box capacity. Suites I dont know how they count, I think that is dependent on how they sell the suite.
I think the max available this year was 45k, I think the max in our current configuration with possible adjustment to how they do some things is probably maybe a few more, maybe 48k.

Its understandable though. Pullman is a small town about half the size of Ames, kind of out there in the middle of nowhere so getting there every week might suck unless you actually live in pullman, and they havent been historically all that great.

Waco has 130k people living in it to draw from (plus its texas), TCU is in the DFW area.

Understandable given location but it has to be the only residential P5 State school with 30k+ enrollment that draws that poorly. I expect it from a commuter school but not your regular four year residential state U in a power conference.

I kind of understand it though. Pullman is ~1.5 hours from Spokane, and ~4.5 hours from the Seattle metro (where your rival, who has a better football history, happens to be located)

Getting to games has to be more of a chore if you're a WSU alum who doesn't live close by.

Especially later in the year when it might start snowing up in the mountains if you're trying to do the seattle to pullman trek.

So, WSU is 12th in the pac 12 for average attendance. Washington is 1st with about 69.8k per game, WSU had 29.7k. ISU's attendance was between UCLA (2nd) and USC (3rd) at 56k last year.

Have most of you gotten your tickets in the mail?

I'm a first time season ticket holder, and I signed up a little late, but still waiting for mine...

Many people do not realize just how good the attendence at ISU has been the past 5 to 10 years, when you compare us to the rest of the nation. ISU would placed 8th in the Big 10, Iowa was 7th. We would be 7th in the ACC, and 2nd to 3rd in the Pac 12, the only conference where ISU would be in the bottom of the conference would be the SEC, at 12th to 13th.

We are doing well and continuing to go attendence.

I think most of us have received them if ordered early.

I would first recommend logging into your account online and see if you have access to them. If your concerned they were delivered to the wrong mailbox you can change the bar codes and print off new tickets.

Or just call the ticket office and they can look into it for you.

But when ordering I think they say expect to have the tickets at least 2 weeks before the event so two weeks is tomorrow.

It looks like Iowa State reduced the visitors seats this year too. Sections H and J used to be completely reserved for visitor seats but it looks like they are selling the first 8 rows as single game seats now.

I got in late for the $225 non donors on Monday, I emailed the ticket office and asked about timing and was told they were mailed Wednesday. Hoping to get them today.

2018 NCAA Attendance for reference. ISU was 29th in average attendance. 5th in the Big 12. With the 3rd largest stadium, we should be back to #3 - average sellout or bust! IRRC, JTS is around 40th overall for college stadiums, so we're over achieving!

I know the numbers are always wonky (tickets sold, not actual attendance or something like that), but assume they "counted" the Drake game and not the opener. If it was actual attendance and included Drake, we'd be lower... Since they don't do a real count, I imagine our largest attendance will be 61,500, since that's what the fire marshal says can be there (unlike the 100k plus stadiums where they used to shoehorn ppl in...)

We also did not crack the top 30 for attendance average until 2017 (previous data cut off at 30.) Our attendance has been decent since 2007 or so, but capacity put us at a disadvantage for total numbers.

Yeah, we aren't catching Texas or Oklahoma, but should pass West Virginia (roughly 2,100 per game higher) and TTech (24 per game higher) this year. Last year's attendance used South Dakota State, not Drake...

USC and UCLA "fans" are the worst...

Lot of band wagon and front runner fans, that have no connection to either university, besides its in the city where they live. Lots to do in LA and the surrounding area, and if the teams are not good, many will pass, and spend their dollars elsewhere.

Since I evidently have nothing better to do today, updated:

239 total left, 17 at the non-donor level. People must be realizing it's cheaper to buy season tickets than buy the resell tickets on Ticketmaster for just the TOE game.

Looks like 213 left now, all at the donor level.
