I like Charter. I disagree with most of what he says (he's dead on about not accepting mediocrity though) and I definitely would present myself different, but these things don't work without a contrarian. For every Keith Murphy or Ken Miller you need an Andy Fales or Marty Tirrell stirring up the masses with some left field opinion that gets the conversation elevated or shifted in another direction.
CW and Gray can give their opinion but rely on their relationships with the Iowa State Athletic Department for the livelihood of their product. That keeps them from being able to go super negative even if the situation called for it. Charter fills that void (twss).
My only suggestion is to tone down the sports betting talk. Picking games and point spreads are fine, but sometimes all the money talk does go overboard.
