... the difference between making a bowl game or not just might have come down to taking a knee at home with 40 secs left, 3 timeouts, the wind at your back, and only 40 yds to gain.

I said it after last week.... there are NO guarantees in life. Many people said it was just another game and that we'd be locking up our bowl eligibility against CU anyway. How do you feel now?

I still believe we have a 50-50 shot at beating Missouri at home, and I really hope we do, but during a season you just never know what single moment can determine your fate?

So leave it all out there. Play to win the game. You may not get another shot. It happened to Iowa last year at Ohio State, and it happened to us this year against Nebraska. Kneel down instead of trying to win the game.... and it costs you.

It sickens me to think how close we were. Oh well... we've still won 2 more games this year than I thought we might. Rhoads is building something here, and we'll be pretty darn good in a few years. Here's a little context...

Hello again.biglaugh Anyways, in the past two days i have found out my ex-girlfriend will be entering the United States Air Force. This came to me as somewhat of a surprise. While we were dating she had brought it up a few times, but never thought she would do it. We sat down and talked for about 15 minutes last Wednesday about her going to the Air Force and all of that and i'm 100% behind her in going. The reason i found out she broke up with me(finally) is that she just didnt want that title of having a boy friend while she goes in to basic training. She said she wanted to have an open mind going in and having me plus her family to think about would be way to much for her. We are still going to remain good friends and i will be going down to Texas for her basic trainning graduation with her parents. What do you guys think about that? What a week this has been for me. Feels like its been 2 years.
