they ARE the same thing.

I just watched a very attractive woman dribble bbq sauce down her chin while mowing through a double western bacon cheeseburger on the tube. (it was a Hardees commercial)
Put the Hardees version next to the Carls Jr version. If they are the same thing I will buy you season tickets to Iowa State Football for the rest of your life.

That commercial is nice though.

Portillos from the Chicago area would be nice. Can you even get an italian beef in the Des Moines area?

I didn't say if the comercials are the same I said the actual burgers. Hardees uses a thickburger patty, chopped onions and a bbq sauce that tastes different. Carls Jr uses a regular beef patty, onion rings and a better tasting bbq sauce. Sorry still no tickets for you. Hardees sucks and Carls Jr is great.

There's a southern version of Sonic's that has better fries. The name escapes me, but I'd go for one of them right now.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, and I'm not reading through this whole thread because there is really only one right answer...and that answer is RUNZA!

closed or collapsed in a heap? that thing was in rough shape when I lived in Jefferson a kazillion years ago.

Good question...although, in fairness, if I remember right they actually fixed it up a bit.

And now I can't remember if they are closed, or just open in the summer like Carroll's. I think they closed down though.

Hardee's uses onion rings (not chopped onions) - I just had one last week.

so we're down to the Carl's Jr patty is slimmer and the bbq sauce tastes different.... I can explain away the bbq sauce as having less spit in it in the Hardees version.

and who wouldn't want a bigger patty? Which I think is all in your mind.
