The only thing I did which might be considered cheating was typing math formulas into my calculator for calc 2 when we weren't allowed to have an equation sheet. Seriously? What reason is there for me to remember the formulas to figure out if sequences and series will approach infinity or not? I really don't consider that cheating, more like a wise use of my calculator's functions.

Anytime a calculator was allowed I'd use my T-85 and type notes into it. This was mostly for non major classes that I did not give 2-$hits about and only cared about getting a decent grade.

Nope, never cheated on a test or a quiz. Although, like BryceC, I probably should have.

Instead of cheating, I had the "Get By" attitude. Most of the classes inside my major, I was all gung ho about, It wasn't really hard, because I loved the work. Everything else. I did what I needed to get by. Luckily though, other than anything math. Most stuff came easy to me.

I had an agronomy class with stadium seating I was late and sat in the front row. The teacher was right in front of me taking the test for himself, so I copied him. Just turned my test around so it matched his, filled in the bubbles got done erased two and got them wrong handed it in and took a 98%.

i always believed in the honor system.i taught freshman-soph biochemistry to the pre-vets for 2 years when i working on my doctorate.
i gave them a midterm exam and i copied every exam on the xerox and i gave the exam back to each student so they could correct their own paper. 22 out of about about 285 students changed their answers on the exam. i flunked all of them and the ones that cheated never made it in to vet school. i told all of that cheated that i did not want them to be doctoring my small or large animals because they were dishonest.
i guess i saved a few of you people that have some small animals or large animals with not having some dishonest large or small animal vets.

Nope, never have.

Have a good story though. I was in Risk Management with Dr. Power. During one of his exams which was in a typical Gerdin classroom there was a kid in the back row with a cheat sheet below the table on their thigh. He quietly walked around to the back of the room and in one quick motion raised his hand into the air, slammed it down on the test, crumpled it, and said "get out, you're done!" Everyone in the class probably jumped a foot out of their chair when his hand hit the table. It was awesome.

I cheated on a Physics 112 final. We weren't allowed to use calculators on the tests with the professor citing "If I can do the math problems in my head, you should be able to, too." (even though this guy had his PhD in Physics). I got dominated by the tests most of the semester and the class was supposed to be curved but some kid got 100% on all of the semester tests so there was no curve. On the day of the final, I was ready to get killed but overheard the kid sitting directly in front of me (in a stadium seating room) that he was the one that set the curve on the tests. Thank you to that kid for allowing me to get an A on that final.

Awesome. If you don't mind, I'll be using that one in the future.

Nah, what's the point? I've never been in a position where I need to cheat to pass. Could I cheat to get a much better grade? Sure, I guess.

Never cheated on a test. I was never in class enough to know who the smartest kids were. If I would have cheated I could have been cheating off the dumbest dude in the class. Luckily, I was and still am a pretty good test taker.

Now on take home test or projects, I might have "cheated" some, but that is expected when the teacher gives those out.

I had a high level of test anxiety. I would know the answers when I got there but as soon as the test dropped onto my desk, my brain cleared. I envy your ability.

I never bothered even trying I guess. In the time it would have taken me to devise and execute something I probably could have just learned enough to get by.

This is funny. Had I been in this class my mild paranoia would have immediately planted this possibility in my head.

There were a lot more than 22 dishonest people there, you weeded out the dangerous combination of dishonest and stupid.

getting good at cheating is part of the college experience. I called it "networking" and should of used it as a minor. Plus being a bartender really helps with the ol barter system.
and if you were in a frat you had the test locker, and sense most teachers/professors are as lazy as the rest of us they use the same test over and over and just change the order the questions are asked.

My calculator has more notes in it than most of my notebooks do.

Philosophy 230: Professor told us to bring paper for our final, he released 5 questions he might ask us to write essays about the week before, I wrote 4 essays and took them to class with me so no matter what combination of questions was on the final, I could answer the required 2. He never once said the paper had to be blank :wideeyed:
