ESPN hopes to hype records for its Green Bay-Minnesota game Monday night. Literally. ESPN, says spokesman Mike Soltys, will announce that on next Monday's broadcast of its ESPN2 SportsNation (5 p.m. ET), it will try to set a record for the most mentions of Brett Favre on a TV show — with Guinness World Records now looking for the current record. Some records should never be broken.

That's not much different than normal. Here's an espn topic list:
Giants love/hate Eli
Jets suck/rule
Yankees suck/rule
why the Mets suck
Favre retired/unretired/threw a td/soul crushing pick to end a game
TO said something dumb
Romo's dating/dumping jessica
Lebron coming to NY?
then five minutes of top tens/worst tens

The article quotes something else but doesn't attribute it. I'm guessing it's fake.

The article mentions that they're only going to try this during their "SportsNation" show on Monday. Since nobody watches that show anyway, this seems to be nothing more than a thinly-veiled attempt to generate ratings.

It's also interesting that Guiness does not what the record is.
