We see people saying this crap but I don't know of ANY fans that have said it or actually believe it.

Yeah, I LOL every time this gets mentioned. Do fans like beating Iowa? Of course, and they would be lying if they said different. Does it complete the season beating Iowa? Hell no, and I have never met one fan who says it does.

Neb basketball has been even more ridiculously bad than ISU football. It would be like ISU still having zero bowl wins.

19 wins and a blowout first round loss to Baylor? They sucked last year, they have never been good.

A certain type of fan will come to check out the new stadium. It won't last if the team never wins and our lynch mob may not like it, but it's true.

They had both a new arena and HOPE for a successful season because of their new coach. We only have the new stadium addition.

Plus, they won all their home games last year except a 1 point loss to Michigan. If Miles keeps it up, I can see them being very competitive in the Big 10.

I know what you're saying. I'm not trying to convince you that Nebraska has a rich and proud basketball tradition, but the fact is they had a lot more to look forward to last year than just a new arena. They had a program seemingly on the rise. We don't.

But we've had the same hope plenty of years with similar extreme average results. Next time the program has 'mo' we'll have a legit big time stadium which will help.

When we lose a mid level bowl again (neb basketball last year) or win a mid level bowl again (better than any neb basketball ever), SEZ will be built and be full if it's not full anyway. There's no negative to it long term.

I bet Iowa's field hockey complex will continue to have a lot of empty seats.

In terms of depth, though, that might be a better conference. We're pretty top-heavy this year as a conference.

The comparison math is getting too tricky for the media. B12 will likely have 5 tournament teams, big ten likely 7. Media will slobber over big ten depth because they can't comprehend simple percentages.

People type this crap on this website! Talk to the older generation of Cyclone fans, ask them what they think. Sadly they are the donors that JP will listen to.

ISU is really lucky that tailgating is so awesome. That is what I am paying for anymore.

All the more reason a priority for JP in scheduling should be getting as many home warm weather ('tailgate-able') games as possible.

If we end september next year with Toledo on the road and then a bye or away week to end september, i will be very disappointed. Should consider buying out toledo and paying someone to come for a one off game.

Probably someone like Western Illinois. I know it is an FCS school and you can only count one as a win. My assumption with Rhoads coaching we will lose to UNI again.
